Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome in Red I just love my new red Keurig. It works just like my old one, so there wasn't any surprises. The red is a nice dark color, but not maroon. It is also not as light as cherry red. I have a Red kitchenaid mixer and the keurig coordinated very well. It is ever so slightly darker than the mixer, but doesn't clash. We have refillable plastic cups that were made by an off brand and they work just fine in this unit. The price is becoming VERY affordable on these, so if you haven't switched to Keurig, now is a good time to try them out! You can also run the machine without a k-cup for hot water to make hot chocolate or tea!

Just plug in, fill with water, press the power on button, lift handle and place your favorite K cup in receptacle, close handle and select size of coffee you want. It then makes your favorite coffee in seconds. . It even comes with a free 3 month carbon water filter which is super easy to install. The carbon filter housing has a dial with 12 numbers on it to remind you when to replace it next. Just spin the dial 3 numbers ahead to equal 3 months and you will never have to wonder when filter will need to be replaced next. Panel buttons are easy to use. Has a low water indicator light and descale feature. My wife and teenage daughter absolutely love me for buying this machine. We can quickly make our coffees one after the other in just minutes. When the women in the house are happy then everybody is happy. I really don’t know how I survived for all these years without this machine. Sincerely, Happy with Keurig.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing ... My wife bought this through QVC on a special deal and was really looking forward to having a Keurig with a reservoir. She has used her single-cup Keurig for years with no problem but this one was so noisy we returned it. We were at a vet's office the other day and they had the K55; I made a cup and it was very quiet. A friend owns a small business in town and keeps her K55 running all the time - and it is also very quiet. It appears we got a bum unit but I don't want to take the chance again that we'll get another noisy one so I guess we'll stick with "old faithful" until it breaks.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible, So Disappointed! I received the Keurig K55 as a Christmas gift. This was meant to replace my K45, which is on its last leg (love the K45). Setup the K55, noticed a "hot plastic smell" while my coffee was brewing but didn't think much about it until I took my first drink of coffee and immediately spit it out because it tasted like plastic too. Ran some water through it hoping it would help but it only made it worse. The unit was returned and exchanged for a K50 because the K55 was no longer available at time of return. Got unit home, set it up and experienced the exact same problem. Will be returning the unit tomorrow for a refund and sadly looking for a different brand. I so loved my K45, what happened Keurig!? Your products used to be wonderful.
