Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I purchased this water bottle last month due in order to keep my body hydrated during my pregnancy. There was a snow storm taking place outside so I decided to turn the heat on in my car to keep warm. When I arrived at my destination and decided to take a drink, the bottle sprayed me! So here I am covered in water in minus 20 degree celsius weather. I had to drive all the way back home just to change my clothes. This has happened to me a couple times after with the bottle so I've just decided not to use this product at all. I will not be recommending this product to anyone due to this fault this bottle is having.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disfunctional Bottles I have been an avid user of Contigo for 9 full years and am thoroughly disappointed with these bottles. Had bought two 3 bottle sets from Costco! These bottles spray whatever liquid you are drinking at you and will be sure to embarass you in front of your coworkers! Moreover, the durability is really, really bad! In a month's time, at the most, these bottles start becoming incredibly hard to sip from (no idea why, despite tightening the straw) and adding on to the discomfort sucking, there is a horrible wind-like sound while drinking! These bottles make an atrocious dophin sound even when the straw is taken out, meaning that's not even an option! Really unfortunate...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Watch out for the spray Yes the bottle doesn't leak when closed but when you open it it will spray all over you if there is any temperature change. I didn't think about it and brought it on a plane. I ended up soaking myself and the person behind me when I opened it. Then on the way home I left it open thinking it wouldn't happen again. Instead it leaked the entire time until I emptied the water. Thinking it was just the plane I brought it to work, took it out of the fridge and had it on the table while I ate. Again it sprayed all over me when I opened the spout. Not a great design.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ready for a 24oz shower? I initially loved my Contigo bottles as for a weird reason, I prefer water that I drink with a straw. However, I do not like this particular straw. I was in a plane the other day and was working on my computer with my phone and tablet next to me, as many people sitting in the next rows. Well, what a great shower we all took when my 24 oz bottle completely emptied, hitting the ceiling and successfully getting water on everything around me. Since then, I witnessed some other incidents involving these bottles and I don't believe my situation is unique. Contigo, please, re-engineer the concept of the bottles as they are awesome but should have a major flaw!
