Rated 1 out of 5 by from bowl won't lock in I dreamed of a kitchen aid mixer for years and was so thrilled to finally be able to buy one. My excitement was short lived. The bowl will not stay locked in so if I'm making something heavier like pizza or bread dough the bowl goes crazy and bounces everywhere and has chipped the paint on the mixer. I have to either struggle to hold the bowl in place or knead the dough by hand (what's the point of a mixer then?). For some reason the coating has chipped on the paddle also. I emailed kitchenaid about my concern when my mixer was still under warranty with no response at all. I'm so disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A longtime romance I've had Kitchen Aid mixers since the 60s.In fact my first one,a wedding present, lasted 30 years. (5 years longer than the marriage!) I don't expect that kind of longevity from products these days, but I am hoping my new aqua mixer will be passed on to my daughter, one day. I recently moved into a newly built house, where the color palette of my kitchen changed. I sold my 4-year-old red mixer for a good price in order to purchase this aqua one. I loved it so much I made it a feature of my new kitchen decor. I have calmed down a bit since, and it is now more of an accent. And, Oh Yes, it works! but that's to be expected.. I am writing a blog "Downsizing Downeast" for the newspaper I work for, about building this new home. My new mixer is prominently featured in a recent edition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Addition to the Kitchen Counter This is a fairly new item in my kitchen and was not sure what to expect with the color "Caviar," but it is a great color! I used the shredder and slicer attachments for cheese and potatoes, and assembled an au gratin dish in record time! In my opinion, the noise of the mixer was reasonable and not off-putting at all. So far I am loving this mixer and looking forward to using it regularly. I downgraded the value only because I think the attachments are on the spendy side. I bought two different attachments and did not purchase a third due to high cost. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Machine I had owned a KitchenAid mixer a couple of years ago and I loved it. The only thing that annoys me is that they removed the spring and washer that hold the attachments in place on the beater shaft. If I would have known that, I may not have purchased the mixer. It is highly annoying that the attachments just flop around on the beater shaft when you start the mixer, and I am baffled as to why they would remover them, being easier to clean the beater shaft is ridiculous.
