Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice with dress sneakers or for layering. These socks are nice for in a home that has the right temperature (70-72 degrees), but are a little chilly if your house is around 68, and a little chilly underneath boots in colder winter climates. They work nicely with sneakers for running errands in temperatures above 30 degrees. They are nice for lounging around a house that has an accurate thermostat/heating. These are not the "cuddle up with a book" type of sock as they are not thick enough or super soft. However, they are thick enough to wear with most shoes, but yet thin enough to fit comfortably with sneakers. I am mixed on how I feel about these. As of now, I do not "absolutely love them and have to get more," but if they hold up really well for a few years then maybe I'd consider buying more. The colors are average. I get why Gold Toe has that gold toe look, obviously, but it frankly is ugly. I wish Gold Toe socks had the same reinforced/quality toe but without the gold. But, I'm sure that's not going to change, unfortunately. They're just very masculine looking socks, unless you're buying bright pinks and purples, which most of us women aren't really interested in buying. I wish they had a larger variety of patterned socks that would hide the gold toe area better.
