Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality for the price. Bought these for my grandson in September. The top of the shoes are completely gone. Had I known sooner they were falling apart (I live in a different state), I would have taken them off his feet and returned them post haste! Other grandson got a different pair at the same time and they are also falling apart with the upper shoe tearing apart from the soles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from sizing? I bought a pair for myself in size 7. While I am a woman I usually purchase my walking shoes from the boys section because it is cheaper. Anyway, bought a pair of these shoes. 3 weeks in and they started showing serious signs of wear at the outside edge of the ankle. Exchanged them for an identical pair as I did find them quite comfortable. Only then found the second pair to be bafflingly shorter than the first pair despite both being the 'same' size. Rather than going through the hassle of another exchange I just passed them on to my 17 year old daughter who wears a size 6 in boys sizes. They fit her perfectly. So, while really comfortable if you get the right size, I found the shoe size apparently varies from shoe to shoe, even otherwise identical shoes. and they wear out rather quickly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Taking awhile to break in; footbed is like cement My son is 10 and wears a size 5. He immediately complained of the sides and toe box being too tight, despite loosening the laces and pulling them out of the top holes. He has since worn them in a little, but he prefers the Sketchers with memory foam footbed (same size). We'll save the New Balance for rain days. The only plus to the New Balance is that if you need to insert orthotics, their footbed comes right out.
