Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is why I buy Hi-Tec These are comfortable, decent-looking, lower priced than other brands' "hiking shoes" and seem durable. Fit similarly to the Multiterra model I used to have. That they think they are waterproof is a plus, though I have never found a boot that is truly waterproof for motorcycle riding and these are so low water could easily come over the top. Still, it should slow a passing sprinkle! To me, this type of shoe is absolutely the most practical. It's as comfortable as a running shoe, but lasts far longer. The neutral color scheme is a lot more understated for wearing with khakis than bright athletic shoes would be. It's a shoe that can go from teaching in a classroom to riding the aforementioned motorcycle, to going for a hike. In fact, a pair of Hi-Tecs were the first shoe I hiked a long distance in and didn't get blisters. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars (yet) is because I just got these and haven't broken them in. Maybe they'll turn out to less comfortable than I think, or wear out too quickly- I don't know. More likely, they will probably earn a 5-star rating, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More comfortable than they look When I first put them on I was concerned they would be too stiff but after wearing them for several hours the first time they turned out to be comfortable. They are a little bulkier looking than I like but not bad. Overall good buy for the buck.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from These Shoes LOOKED Great. I read the online reviews of these shoes and should have heeded the advice of others. They run small and yes, the toe box is cramped and narrow. I have a pair of Hi-Tec hiking boots in a size 9 that I've had for years that fit great. I ordered them online without trying them on first and had no issues. I wear a size 9 shoe in pretty much every shoe, sneaker and boot I wear. So I went with a size 9 in this shoe. When I pulled the shoe out of the box, I could tell just by the way it looked it would not fit, it looked small and my feet are not exactly small. I tried them on and they were too small all around, and my big toes were squished against the side of the shoe. I was pretty sure a 9.5 would do the trick. So I ordered the 9.5. While they did offer a better all around fit, I still had the big toe issue with it being uncomfortably squished against the side of the shoe. I didn't bother to try again with a size 10 because I was pretty sure that the overall fit would be a bit too big and I did not feel confident that the cramped toe box issue would be resolved with a bigger shoe. I can say that the shoes were very light, they looked stylish and were exactly what I was looking for, except they didn't fit. I was very bummed. I had to return both sizes and will likely look for shoes that I can try on first. I'd recommend these shoes, but I would recommend trying them on first.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs 1 size small I usually wear an 8.5. If an 8.5 is too small, a 9 will work. I had to get a 9.5 in this shoe. Had to exchange 3 different times. Order a whole size bigger if you are ordering these shoes.
