Rated 2 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTED - Bring Back the Marilyn Classic-Fit Jeans I had high hopes for this product even though the fabric content differs significantly from the classic-fit, at-the-waist Marilyn jeans that were discontinued four years ago. I still have several pairs of that style, but they are showing wear and I had hoped to find a great replacement. I normally wear a size 6, which is what I ordered in the Seattle color. The jeans fit well, but it is the weight of the fabric and the "fake" fading of the color that are a big disappointment. The fabric feels thinner than the fabric of the older jeans. I will be returning the jeans so have not worn them to see if they "stretch" out and become baggy after wearing them for a few hours as some reviewers have mentioned. It is my guess that most of the buyers of this style of at-the-waist jeans are older (as am I) than those who are purchasing the modern cut styles. Why, Lee, are you putting the "fake" faded lines across the front of the jeans just above the upper thigh area? My older Lee jeans don't have those lines after years of washing and wearing them. Why would I want to buy new jeans with these obviously fake faded lines? Besides not adding anything to the style, they only seem to accentuate the upper thigh area and make your thighs look larger. So please, Lee, consider bringing back a style comparable to the Marilyn jeans, Style #3505261 (72% cotton, 27% polyester, 1% cotton).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too much polyester, too little cotton! They're okay jeans. I've worn them twice now and they seem to stretch a bit too much in the waist. They were just right after the first wearing but by the second, they already felt a little too loose! To me, jeans should NOT have more than 10% polyester. I was lucky once...I had a pair of jeans that had 12% polyester (lycra and/or spandex, or whatever it was), and they wore perfectly for years! These replaced those because mine just wore out. Because of the excessive "stretchiness", I don't think these will last a couple of years. I'm old-fashioned, I guess...I miss the days of 100% cotton denim jeans!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable fit I really like the style of these jeans. I like a slimmer leg and jeans that don't sit too high on the waist. I have 3 pairs now in an 8 short. Length is the same but each pair fits a little differently. I have had to return a couple pairs that were just too big and these do stretch. I just recently ordered 2 pairs in a 6 short so I will be anxious to see if either of them fit a little better knowing they too will stretch after a couple of wears. I don't understand why no 2 pairs ever fit the same. I don't have this problem with dress pants!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from happy then disappointed Finding a good fit in jeans is challenging. Last year when I discovered the classic fit monroe straight leg jean (size 16S) I was thrilled. I have two pair that are my absolute favorite jeans. Many washings, still just fine. I wanted to buy more this year and was quite disappointed to discover that I cannot duplicate my two favorite pairs. The "new" ones are not the same. The fit is different, noticeably larger. The material is also different, noticeably thinner. I don't understand why a company like Lee would cheapen and change their product this way.
