Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what I was hoping for.. These curtains are fine, just not what I was hoping for. While they do darken the room, a good bit of light still comes through. So it definitely helps, but not enough to call them a good investment. The material is VERY shiny. I was looking for a heavy cotton, so that was more an error on my part, but still.. VERY SHINY. If the room is dark, they definitely look navy, but with the hint of sunlight, they become a bright blue. I still gave this a good review, because although they're not what I was looking for, they are still very nicely made for the price. I'll include pictures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality and lining In my limited knowledge in life (73 years of it) I don't understand how can something (palace drapes# have rubber falling off of them when it is LINED with a room darkening fabric. No rubber anyplace I could find. We bought 5 pair #10 pieces) of these drapes and found they are of very good quality, they darken the room, especially the one east bedroom window where the sun comes blaring in in the AM. Also, isn't taffeta supposed to be shiny, it always has been in my experience and in my sisters experience who have sewn for a lot longer than I am alive. I think, and this is only me, when you order on line you have to read and then re-read what you are getting. We are HAPPY with the quality, colors, room darkening. We live in TEXAS so we know what sun, heat and light are. Live Long, Live Well

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beautiful... but not room darkening! Ugh, this is the second set of curtain panels I've purchased that say room darkening/blackout/energy efficient but are not. I've given 4 stars because the curtains are pretty and I love the fact they can be used as back tab, traditional rod pocket and with clips. I'm going to transfer these to another room in the house but am again on the hunt for new blackout panels in a faux silk material that come in 95inch length. But, seriously, I wish the descriptions were true! Just because a panel isn't sheer, does not make them room darkening!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Room darkening lining affects color Online, it says Ivory is one of the color options, and that it was in stock at my local store. However, White was there, not Ivory. I purchase 2 panels of white anyway, hoping they would still work. They would have if it wasn't for the room darkening lining, which is a dark gray. It shows through the white and makes the curtains look gray. This probably isn't a problem with the darker colors. I do like that it has back tabs, as the method of hanging that I am using doesn't work with the grommets, which 90% of Kohl's curtains have. This is a perfectly decent curtain. I only give it three stars because it doesn't look white due to the lining.
