Rated 5 out of 5 by from A modern machine for tasty old fashion coffee This coffee maker has some unique features. One being, it is much more environmentally friendly than the traditional single cup pod servers, however but has the same option to do so. The coffee brewing happens in two stages 1. It pours a little bit of water on the coffee to let the coffee grinds expand (that is the traditional method of "fine barrista" coffee making 2. It completes the cycle by adding the remaining water slowly, but steadily It comes with three basic options for single cup, mug and decanter. And it has a large water tank. It is a pricey unit, but if you enjoy an outstanding cup of coffee it is worth the extra money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tasty coffee, well-designed machine I've hunted for a terrific coffee maker and this one is my destination. I've not done any iced drinks yet, but aside from that it brews awesome coffee. The product is very well designed, sturdy, easy to clean and service. It came well packaged with a thick diverse recipe book for drinks and desserts. The name Ninja sounds a bit odd for a coffee maker, but this is a great machine. It took one pot to "break in," even after running two pots of water through. I usually break-in with a vinegar cleansing but didn't this time. And the double-insulated carafe is perfect -- lasts 2 hours, no heed to microwave cold coffee. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Coffee Maker, Loaded with Options I've been using the the Ninja Coffee Bar for two weeks now and it has exceeded my expectations. Coming from a Keurig, the taste of the same coffee (used a ez-cup paper filter option in the Keurig) seems richer, less bitter with the Ninja. The price of the Ninja Coffee Bar is a little expensive for a coffee maker but with the addition of specialty brewing (cappuccino) option, this coffee maker has eliminated any need to for me to go to a coffee shop. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good alternative to a single cup Keurig with a lot more options.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love the size & options- yet updates needed I do like the compactness and the convenience of the different sizes/fills of this unit! However, there are a couple of things that need to be updated to make it The BEST! I would expect (& hope for future) it WOULD have FILTERED water! The SS carafe does not STAY HOT for long ( no warming plate), & there needs to be a ( maybe snap on) vent director to keep the steam from wetting the bottom side of your cabinet. OVERALL, it's still nice--- just not great. I say this not to be condescending, rather that the mfg.'s would observe & correct these items. I believe the sales would be over the top. Consumers want a GREAT coffee maker even if it costs a little more.
