Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short-lived fun The pen worked for only a few months before indicating every answer was incorrect. I tried calling the customer service department but the phone prompts don't work correctly - they route to incorrect departments. (Surprise?) My son loved this toy while it was working but now it's useless. I'm not inclined to use any of the other products from this company after this experience. A waste of money, overall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product adaption for autistic children I purchased this product and the learning cards for my client who has autistic tendencies and has had removal of half of his brain. We attend a facility where applied behavior analysis is used. Although I love the product and he is motivated by the lights, vibration and voice, he self stimulates by applying Ace to every dot. My suggestion would be that there is only a verbal response when a correct answer is given and no verbal response for a wrong answer. I would also like to see cards with less trials on each card. Autistic children do better with one task presented at a time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plankton net is fun My children, 7 and 12, and I went to the pier in Monterey California. We put the net in the water and ran up and down. We pulled up a wide variety of baby crabs and baby fish. We were able to see them with the lens in the collecting jar. My kids had a lot of fun. Since then they have repeatedly asked me to go back out and do it again. My son took it on a field trip with his class and it was a great hit with all his classmates. It is a great tool to teach about biology. One could easily design lessons about zooplankton, food webs, life-cycles and use this plankton net to give the students hands-on experience.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good if you can get it to work I saw this and thought how engaging! My two year old was excited to get this home. We opened and he did about 20 flash cards without being bored. Overall it's a very educational item...if it works. Day 3 of trying to use "doggy" he started telling my son all his right answers were wrong I took the pen away which caused a melt down, but I didn't want you son confused. Changed batteries, did research and nothing. The pen is just defective and at this point I am not willing buy another one just to waste money. Wish they could ensure a better pen then the product would be great
