Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awkward spinning tail I gave this doll first to my 6 year old granddaughter who liked the lighting feature but had trouble winding the tail up, besides that she loved the way Dora looked and made a great playtime with her new friend. Next My 9 year old Granddaughter tried Dora out with similar results, She said the button should make the tail spin without winding. Next since he was around at the time my 11 year old grandson thought the doll should talk as well as swim. He also thought the winding tail was awkward. Hope this is useful. Thank you for the opportunity to try your products. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from She's So Cute I received Sparkle and Swim Mermaid Dora for free to try. My 3 and a half yr old grandaughter played with it. Dora herself is super cute. She has a shell necklace that you press and her tail lights up with pretty colors. You wind her tail fin up and press the shell and she swims in the water. My grandaughter thought that was pretty neat. She did swim but crashes into the edge of the tub.She flipped over but kept going. Her hair is dry now and still looks good. She does have a couple of drainage holes for the water.I think my grandaughter will have fun with this for awhile. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Toy, Lots of Fun My girls were very excited to play with their Sparkle & Swim Mermaid Dora. They loved that the tail lights up and turned the water colors, especially in the dark. Both girls (ages 3 & 4) were able to windup Dora's tail and push the star button to make her swim. I had to teach them to keep her in the water before pushing the button or else her tail spins before she makes it into the water. She doesn't constantly swim, it's only as long as the tail was wound. I also had to add a bit more water to the tub than usual so her tail wouldn't hit the bottom of the tub when spinning. Overall it is a great toy for bathtub fun!
