Rated 2 out of 5 by from So-So I bought these for a gift after a family member commented on my electric mills (a different style). I loved the sleek look of these and the fact that they had lights. When I received them, I went to put batteries and fill them to wrap. They worked well at first, but when I went to show my husband how the gravity start worked (super cool feature!) it jammed and I had to take all the salt out. I do have a couple of things that I would change and might help someone looking to purchase - - the black part on the top where the salt comes out is pretty cheap and flimsy. It moves around and wasn't the quality I expected - the light actually lights up the storage portion of the salt grinder more than the part where the salt comes out - since it's gravity activated, it keeps grinding til it is flipped over again. That means that when you flip it up, there is normally a small pool of ground salt sitting on the top. So when you go to flip it back over to salt something, you immediately get a huge dump of salt right away that is more than I'd put on most things All in all, this is going back and is going to be replaced by the ones I got from another store.
