Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good I love my Balance Ball chair. I sit for long hours at my desk and I find my back and body to be much less stiff and sore with the Balance Chair.  I would recommend the chair to anyone. The only problem I have with the chair is the locking tabs on the wheels of the chair base. I am constantly locking them with my feet and having to lean over and unlock them so I can roll the chair when sitting . I would say that Giam should reverse the way the locking tab works. If lock was in the down position I would have no problem at all. I still think this is an awesome chair and love it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointed I thought I was getting a desk chair.  I am 5'7" and it is way too low for any normal adult sized desk.  The ball often falls through to the floor when sitting down, even when it is fully inflated.  Either the ball needs to be bigger, or the ring smaller.  It would also be good it the legs were more adjustable in the higher direction. When I let go of the idea of using it at a desk and put it out on the patio, it is quite fun to sit on.  Outside in the sun, the ball didn't fall through--until the weather cooled down.  All in all I am disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad I bought this! I had back surgery in my teens, and lately the hardware has been giving me major problems. It's been difficult to sit at my desk and I was having severe lower back pain every day. The first week I had the chair it took some adjusting to, and I still had pain, but now a month in I never have pain while sitting at my desk-- and I work 10 hour days! It's so worth it. The adjustable legs help a lot and the base makes sure I'm not falling over at my desk. It's super lightweight so I can even carry it to our meeting rooms! Love it-- if you have back pain and you're reading this, just push the purchase button.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy the classic instead!! I first purchased the Custom chair because isn't custom better? No! It is rickety, difficult to slide along the floor and pull into my desk but most important is that it looks cheaper. While my Custom chair has lasted 3 years with out a problem, I am much happier with my classic chair. It feels sturdier, easier to move and better made. I love that both chairs help my posture and my core strength. Both keep me from feeling fatigued while sitting at my desk. Both are fun to sit on. Both handle my 250 pounds comfortably. strongly recommend the Classic not the Custom chair.
