Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great product for money spent I usually drink 3 or more cups tea a day, so i bought this tea kettle thinking it would be great. After less than 6 months its already rusted inside and the bottom has stopper that have fallen off bottom where goes on to warming base and water no longer gets hot but lukewarm. Now i spent all this money and have look for new one already. Not impressed, very dissatisfied with product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be Fabulous with one tweak Kettle makers still persist in using plastic parts internally making for a plastic taste in and potentially harmful tea drinking. When trying to purchase online, I specifically called and asked if there was plastic inside and was assured that since not part of description, there was none. Wrong. Still on the hunt. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks and works great! My last expensive tea kettle was electrocuted by the great invasion of the sugar'water ants. The new one I bought is superior in craftsmanship and it would better be able to withstand another attack of the midget ants that are making life a Living Hell here in our beautiful city. It has a high stand in case water gets on the counter somehoa It is bright and cheerful and easy to use...perfect in every way I can see after six weeks of service.... Rated 4 out of 5 by from Is plastic inside the pot BPA free or not? I just purchased the KEK1222 electric kettle. I haven't even tried it yet. Love the style and that it is mostly stainless steel. I'm still searching on line to find the answer many have asked re: whether the plastic filter frame and housing inside the pot is BPA free or not? Why can't someone from KitchenAid just be up front and directly answer the question? This a concern that numerous people have brought up in their reviews. If it's not BPA free is KitchenAid addressing this? Otherwise, it's a great little kettle.
