Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS TOY!! This product is so cute! I was just looking for something interactive for my 6 month old niece and she LOVES this zoo! The dancing monkey is even entertaining for the adults! My niece now cries when we try and get her engaged with something else. She loves the big buttons that play different songs and even though she can't work the handle to move the monkey she knows it moves and will manually try to move him! Great purchase! I went back and bought another one to keep at our cabin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST TOY FOR 4 MONTHS through 2 YEARS This is a toy we keep at "grandma's"; we purchased it originally used based on recommendations of the original owner. We didn't really believe it was "that great" but it was! There are so many things to do for toddlers and not just songs or ABCs (which is found on almost every battery operated toy now); the monkey moves, there are animal sounds, songs etc. It sounds funny saying "4 month old" but I brought this to the family reunion knowing the 8 month old would be bored and his cousin starting batting at it and loved it too. His mom went out and bought one immediately b/c she too couldn't believe how much there was to do and with supervision her infant could play and laugh (he is now 8 months old and other than the Einstein Star when he was younger, this was tied for his favorite toy). We save it for when he's crabby and he's always happy and laughs playing with it. As for the one complaint I read, "the sounds weren't clear enough" come on, the parent can sing the song a few times if it's that difficult for their child. Grandma holds up her arm high for a giraffe, swings arm for elephant and scratches under arms for monkey while singing. It's...."walk like a penguin, reach up tall like a giraffe and laugh like a monkey" (not hard to understand compared to a lot of other toys)...each time it says "laugh like a monkey" he looks at me to see me do the monkey motion and eee-eee sound....so if a six month old can understand it, I believe an adult can. But there is so much more to do and can't believe someone would want to give the toy a zero....I can't even think of a toy for this age group that pronounced more clearly nor keeps a infant/toddler up to pre-school (yes the 4 year old still likes it) more entertained on a REGULAR basis. If the sound is too loud--fold up a napkin and duct tape it! (applies to all sound toys).... I bet you will be moving the monkey around and making some sounds too....(maybe even walking like a penguin!:) Happy Browsing and Shopping. I will try to remember to take a video to upload.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The giraffe does not say "big and tall" Agree with not the momma's review. The Giraffe sounds more like "I'm a big [*] tall Giraffe". I searched to find out what he said, and even after we found what he's supposed to say we don't hear it. I find it amusing, but could see why some parents would not want their kids listening to that line. I would think some one would have tested it to make sure the lines couldn't be confused.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too loud and words to songs not easily understood When you first turn on the toy it plays a tune. At the end it says "dance like a monkey and laugh....?.....? We have a running argument at our home about what it is actually saying at the end. I teach children with dyslexia and my ears are trained to listen to phonetic sounds and it sounds to me like it is saying "laugh...out....loud" although not clearly. Others hear "Laugh...laugh....laugh".... which is what the Product PDF file for this product has written down. I definitely hear the "ou" sound in those last two words not the "short a" sounds as in laugh. I think whoever wrote down the lyrics for the PDF on this product didn't get it right. Can someone in the company please verify this for me once and for all. I noticed another purchaser of this toy who wrote a complaint on her review thought it said "laugh out loud".
