Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great features but........ I've had my Surge for nearly two years now and up until a few months ago, it's been a great watch with great features. The only negative with regard to features is the fact that it's not waterproof. After about 16 months, I did notice the battery had to be charged more frequently and now, the time is completely off. I've reset it numerous times but to no avail. I've also reached out to Fit Bit support and they have been non-responsive. I'm in the market for new device and although I'll consider Fit Bit, I'm finding that there are some great options out there to consider.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just OK I've had mine since they first released it. They really need to come up with a better charging system. The connection is open on the back so sweat and dirt get into it easily. They couldn't put a cover over it? Plus when I connected it to charge the other night it did not charge because the connection must be a little loose. Battery life is terrible. It last any where from 1 day to three days. Oh, and my biggest complaint, it very seldom syncs with my Nexus 6P phone. It went 19 days with out syncing once, and it is on auto sync and I always have my phone with me. I had an iPhone before and never had a problem with it syncing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a Garmin I bought this thinking I could do Triathlon training. Turns out the Surge is not really waterproof. Only water resistant. You cannot swim with this watch on or even take a shower. Why tout it as a performance watch when really it has this weakness. Another problem is I can't view the watch during my spin cycle classes. If you want to monitor your heart rate while spinning you have to let go of the handle bars and turn your wrist to view the HR rate. I am seriously thinking of returning this watch and getting a Garmin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I've had a Jawbone Up, I have a Fitbit One, but I just had to get the Surge. It is amazing. You don't have to tell your phone when your going to sleep and wake it up ..... once I forgot to tell the app I was awake and I slept for 356 hours. The Surge knows when you wake up and go to sleep automatically. The steps and mileage is pretty accurate. I usually use an elliptical at the gym and it has a setting for that ... it is amazing.
