Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cozy, but not warm I purchased several of these blankets a few weeks ago, for myself and family members. I liked the color selection e.g., gray, maroon, blue, brown. The blankets appeared to be soft and cozy as well. Now, after almost a month, the blankets don't heat up. Even at the highest setting, if they do become warm it's only at a certain part of the blanket, not all over. I really want to take them back. I've seen cheaper blankets, which while not as comfy looking may just do the job. We need blankets that hold heat! I knew it couldn't just be us. Looking at some reviews on this site, I can tell it isn't just our experience with these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sunbeam Velvet Plush Heated Blanket I purchased this twin sized heated blanket for my wife a few weeks ago. We use to own Sunbeam heated blankets for years. The blanket warms up very quickly. The controls have a timer feature to turn off at different times or turn it off. Hers is off. No need for a pre heat setting either. The feel is super soft. Fits the twin like a glove. Keeps my wife nice and toasty. Large lighted window on the control unit to adjust the temp. The only thing I miss is the wide, silky boarder to help you fold over your sheet on. The heated blanket end just curls up and clumps. Other than that it's very nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Jack Frost Nipping at our Nose (and Toes) We got this King Size Sunbeam Velvet Plush Heated Blanket less than a year ago as a gift during one of the worst winters in Washington. The blanket worked fine and was so comfy cozy. We plugged it in a couple of weeks ago, as we are beginning to dip near freezing, and the blanket is no longer warming. We went to the Sunbeam website and performed all the troubleshooting tips and tricks and nothing worked, so we unplugged it as indicated. These blankets are too expensive to last less than a year (even if you get it as a gift). I gave this a 2 because although it's not heating it is still soft and not heavy; if it was still working and keeping us warm I would give it an 8 or 9.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stopped working after two months! This is about the 4th heating blanket I have tried. I've tried 2 other Sunbeam brands and this is the third. I really wanted this one to work cause the reviews were overall really good! It worked for a few weeks extremely well! Wonderful heat all over, but it slowly lost it as time passed. I made sure the plug in was correctly in place, but it didn't seem to matter. I have to take it back because I just keep getting the flashing error (same thing with the 2 other heating blankets). Try it if you wish, but I'm definitely losing faith in Sunbeam like everyone else :(
