Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sunbeam Velvet Plush Heated Blanket I purchased this twin sized heated blanket for my wife a few weeks ago. We use to own Sunbeam heated blankets for years. The blanket warms up very quickly. The controls have a timer feature to turn off at different times or turn it off. Hers is off. No need for a pre heat setting either. The feel is super soft. Fits the twin like a glove. Keeps my wife nice and toasty. Large lighted window on the control unit to adjust the temp. The only thing I miss is the wide, silky boarder to help you fold over your sheet on. The heated blanket end just curls up and clumps. Other than that it's very nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Electric Blanket Pro's: the blanket gets very warm (maybe a little hot) on the higher settings so for the first time in many years I'm using a setting under 5 - fingers crossed it will last for more than winter (my usual complaint w/ other blankets is they stop working after a year or so). Quite large - I ordered a Cal King but could have ordered a queen and saved $$. Con's: The blanket is a little thin - I feel like I might break a wire and the material is very "slick" so it tends to move a lot so I have to re-lay the blanket every few days. If this blanket lasts at least 4-5 winters I would order another one :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall great heated blanket I bought this in olive. It's a deep greenish color. Very pretty. The blanket heats up quickly, has settings for preheat and automatic shutoff at the 2-6-10 hr intervals. This blanket gets real warm. I have only had it up to 4 once and it didn't stay there long!! Most nights 2 is plenty warm enough. The only thing I'm not crazy about is how easily the other covers slide off of it. The material is real soft and slick. It doesn't feel like the electric blankets of old days. It's rather thin material and you can feel the wires, but it does come with a 5yr warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally worth it Oregon has these "ice storms" and it's FREEZING outside. My electric bill jumps during this time so we had to find ways to lower the bills. Enter this blanket. I turn my heat off at night now and enjoy the ridiculously soft plushy feel of this blanket. It's so worth it and if this one ever dies, I'm totally buying another one. The dual side controls is pretty nice too. It's soft, big enough to cover us on each end, heats up FAST and even on "low" ~ is amazingly warm. It's not my mama's heating blanket Downside ~ the cords can be felt but once it warms up they kind of soften and you're warm so who cares?
