Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, big boy bike I'll start by saying I really love the size of the bike. I'm 6'2" and have always felt too big for every bike I've owned. On this, i imagine i feel like someone who is 5'10" feels on a large 26" cruiser. It ships direct from Kent Bicycles via fedex and the packaging was terrible. Every corner of the box was beat up, there was a rip in the box, and only one piece of weak tape was left holding the box closed. Inside, everything was fine except the front wheel, which was too bent to true. I called the manufacturer and after emailing what they asked for, they shipped a new wheel, which is perfectly straight. It was shipped on Monday and arrived on Thursday via FedEx. The frame is very sturdy and light, as it's aluminum but, the wheels are very heavy steel with steel hubs. Finding a lighter wheel of this size would be near impossible since this seems to be the only manufacturer making one of this dimension. The same goes for tubes and tires. Kent is currently the only manufacturer, i can find on the web, of this size wheel, tire, and inner tube. The seat is very comfortable and the gears shift very smoothly. I swapped the pedals out with some made of aluminum alloy before riding it because the cheap plastic ones that it comes with feel like junk. That's standard for most any bike out there. They all come with low grade plastic pedals and every bike i buy, i always plan on replacing them before riding. Finding front and rear cargo racks is not easy. The largest bike they are made for is one with 29"/700c wheels. I would suggest Kent sell a version that comes with front and rear racks and charge $50 or $60 more for that model. They could also sell accessories, like racks, as addon options from their website. The brakes are side pull and you're pretty much stuck with them. I'd prefer cantilever or disc brakes for a bike this size but, they work alright. All in all, i love the bike. It's built well, it's comfortable, and should last a long time. It really looks great too.
