Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for Small Batches I give this 3 stars because it overcooks the pickles so they are mushy. It is great on small batches of jams/jellies and fruit in syrup but to have such a big machine that really ONLY water baths, it takes up too much space for too little amount of jars for us. I'll stick with my FreshTech Water Bath Canner which holds about 8-12 jars depending on size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes canning so easy and simple. I have had this product for less than a week, and I am totally in love with it. I have made Salsa, Pasta Sauce, Dill Pickles, Jams, and Apple Butter; all in less than a week. Love the fact that you don't have to stand over a hot stove, with a massive pot of boiling water, you can actually just set it and walk away. Sure it doesn't make massive amounts of canned goods, but that works just fine for me. I don't need 15 jars of jams, or pickles. Yes I will admit it's pretty steep in price, but I see it as an investment, and considering how much I am enjoying it now, I say it was worth the cost.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good for simple, one time canners This machine was on the top of my wish list for Christmas (2013). When I received it I was estatic. Using it has been another story. It seems to work wonderfully for one time a day. If you try to use it twice in a row it need hours of time inbetween to cool and reset to be used again, otherwise is errors out in the middle of the second sesson every time. It is disappointing that its not good for production as canning is something we do to preserve big batches of veggies from our garden. I could of contined to to can with a big water bath vs. having a 300.00 machine thats useless after the first bath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This makes canning even more fun! This is the second year that I have used this product, and I absolutely love it! No, this isn't a pressure canner for low-acid products, and I knew this from the get-go. Yesterday, I made 12 half-pints of fresh berry jam. I did this in two batches, and I had absolutely no problem with this system. Lately, I've begun to enjoy small batch canning, since there are only two of us and I don't have a huge garden. Sanitizing my jars, and pressure canning my jams, jellies and pickles is not only more efficient-- I really appreciate not having to use so much water and gas to heat up my big canning pot. Love this!
