Rated 1 out of 5 by from What is it about the left rear belt loop? I've been a loyal Levi's customer since elementary school. In my mind they were the only real jeans for 40+ years. In the last 10 years or so, it seems that there is something about the left rear belt loop. At first they started popping loose at the bottom after ~6 months or so. My most recent 4 pairs started letting go in the 1st month. I've currently got 15-20 pairs of 505s that that are fine, except either the left rear, or left and right rear belt loops have blown out. I guess I'll go try some of those Wrangler jeans that I used to look down on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Belt loops fail The rear belt loops on my jeans keep ripping out at the bottom after a few months. I have never had this problem until the last few years. I thought it was just me until I read the review by AFormerLevisFan. The quality of Levi's is going down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NOT the original 505's ! Why the changes ? I bought my 1st pair of Levi's in 1953 and have worn only Levi's since. I switched to 505's because I liked the zipper. They are the only pants I wear; period ! Just bought 2 new pair of 505 regular, rigid. Listed below are the changes I do not like. 1. Only 5 belt loops (for 63 years there were 7) 2. The front pockets are not as deep. 3. Somehow the legs are not the same ? I have always ironed a crease in the legs by folding the leg with the seams together, and ironing them. Did this to my new ones, put them on and the crease is NOT straight down the front of your leg. Very unhappy that you say they are the same as 1967, because they are NOT.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from More of a khaki pant with a jeans cut, than jeans in a khaki color I purchased these because I like the jeans cut with the more formal khaki color. I purchased a similar pair from a company that rhymes with "me" and found their build quality better (thicker, softer, more denim-like). The 505's are thinner, closer to regular khaki material (a little thicker of course). The 505's fit a little more snug in the groinal region too.
