Rated 4 out of 5 by from Combo of 559 cut and stretch fabric really works Second time I've bought 'stretch' jeans, and I'm really pleased with the comfort, especially in the waist. The fabric still feels like traditional denim, moderately heavy with a sturdy, abrasion resistant surface, but with just enough stretch to bend where I curve. The stretchiness makes the waist feel a little bigger than the stated size at first, but I quickly got used to it (wear a belt, or you might find it sliding down). And as a middle-aged hockey player with relatively big thighs and butt, the 559 cut really works for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality Gone Downhill The 559 jeans used to last me years, but now they wear through in about 9 months. To me the biggest issue is that the denim feels paper thin as opposed to my older pairs of 559's that had some thickness (and durability). Secondly is the washing of the jeans bleeds out the dye quicker and shrinkage is a factor as well (though there is some vanity sizing so I feel it /almost/ works out). As such I can't recommend the 559 anymore unless cheapest jeans is your main criteria.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice pair of jeans After a few washes. Color has not faded. Good fit for tall men with well developed legs. I am six foot three and 185 pounds. Only complaint is small in crotch area.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fit Not Consistent I've settled on the 559s as my go-to. I have several pairs that fit great. However, the steely blue for some reason fits completely differently. The waist is about 2-3" bigger than my other 559s and the bottom leg opening also seems much bigger based on the way it sits on my shoe. I'm not sure if it's the material or what. This is the second pair I've tried, and they were both the same.
