Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the same 559 Levi's Buyer beware! My husband has been wearing Levi's for 45 years. He's been wearing the 559 for years. We just ordered 4 pairs and when they came they now have stretch in them . No where on the website does the description mention stretch. My husband noticed the the difference right away and asked me if the jeans felt stretchy . We actually called Levi and co and they said they are moving away from 100% cotton on most there styles. Very disappointing. The jeans aren't as thick as they used to be. My husband wears out his jeans quickly I can't imagine the thinner jean holding up well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from the 559 has been my favorite fit I have always worn Levis Jeans until they came out with the stretch jeans. I am not a fan of this new age denim jeans. what every happened to the good ole American classic jeans? Levis logo is a cowboy on the tag of every pair of jeans they sell. With that said have you ever seen a cowboy wear skinny jeans or jeans that have elastic in them?... NO! BRING BACK THE NORMAL 559 JEANS. PLEASE!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice look and ft Bought these for my husband and they fit him nicely. Levi brand is usually a good 'go to' for him to fit easily since he prefers not to have to spend time in a dressing room. The only concern we had was that after washing/drying the length decreased and was almost too short (they were 30" in length). We looked in the store to see if we could purchase a pair of 31" length but they aren't offered in that length at his waist size. We'll get 32" length and alter them after washing and drying to get a better fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Whatever happened to Levis? This fit and style of these jeans are great. They are comfortable. The problem is - they start to break down within a few washes. After only a few washes, you'll notice the cuffs and the pocket edges beginning to fray... then they start to fray and shred apart after only a few months following purchase! I've purchased levis for years and never recall them self destructing so quickly... Denim was supposed to be durable and not something so easily defeated by a washing machine. Levis quality has really fallen.
