Rated 4 out of 5 by from Know what you are buying This is not a top of the line dutch oven, but it's cute, sturdy and works as intended. It will probably last my entire life. Dutch ovens serve a specific purpose and can go from stove top to oven unlike other dishes. However, they are not for "dry" cooking. This is for soups, stews...things with fluid in them. Don't ever use metal utensils with them, Not even realquickanditwontmatter. It will matter. Spend an extra $15 and buy a good set of plastic or wood utensils. One scratch and this dutch oven would soon to be worthless. Take care of it. Like you did when you first got your wedding ring ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from style diva i have never been able to cook cakes. they always came out crooked. well. I finally found a great pot that not only does it make great soups, but I made a cake in it last night. it came out beautiful. I have bought 5 of these at kohl's during the holidays when they were on sale. great product , great price. The colors make my kitchen come alive. ! as long as you wash it alone in the sink and have it dry alone in the rack and wipe it off with a dish towel and store it with paper towels in it --so it wont scratch or chip--this pot can last a very long time. will try to get a braiser soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice heavy dutch oven... ...my old enameled dutch oven had seen better days, and I got this to replace it. It's very nice quality, extremely heavy, and seems well-made. Two issues, however: I bought the black and it's not just black, it's sparkly black. The sparkles don't show in natural light, but show up like crazy in the light of my range hood. Not necessarily a bad thing, just unexpected. Also the handle on the lid does not stay cool, and the handles on the pot itself get just as hot as the pot, and given the pot's weight, handling it with potholders is a little iffy. Bakelight handles would be an improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I've only used it 3 times so far but it has worked really well all 3 times. I used it to make sourdough bread and it came out excellent! This requires the use of high heat in the oven and there was no discoloration of the exterior or interior. My previous dutch oven was less expensive and it discolored from the high heat. The chili I prepared in it was easy and did not discolor the interior. I'm very happy with this and it can double as a piece of weight-lifting equipment - it is heavy which is expected of a quality cast-iron dutch oven!
