Rated 2 out of 5 by from NewAir AH-400 Energy Efficient 400 Watt Oil Personal Heater For the price, don't expect much heat from such a small heater. It will provide some heat but you'll need to use the Maximum setting and use it in an enclosed space to keep the heat within a closed area. I use it in the bedroom though it doesn't help much really but I keep it on overnight on medium heat to serve electricity costs. Also, it can be used in the bathroom but you'll need to keep it on for awhile to heat up the room. Again, given its small size, do Not expect much heat as it's really meant for SMALL, Enclosed spaces. You can use it on carpets but just be careful. On a daily basis, I unplug it during the day then plug it back into the outlet at night before use. Remember to remove the plastic that covers the unit after opening from the box but before using.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe and comfortable Besides providing comfortable heat with no sound and with an internal thermostat, I chose this heater because of the superior safety factor. I replaced three baseboard heaters after reading reviews of the fire hazard they represent. The mechanism used in the Newair heater presents no such hazard and I can rest assured that I won't have a space heater fire!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great heating as well as low energy consumption This is a good alternative to high heating bills, yet delivers heat for small to average size rooms, entry hallways or larger bathrooms. Keep heater away from anything close to the unit to prevent melting of objects. Feet need to be properly placed on unit and there is a click when locked feet are in place. Remove the clear warning labels first before initial use
