Rated 1 out of 5 by from Makes warm smoothies... yuc! I loved my old bog-standard Nutribullet but it eventually wore out and stopped working. Bought the new 9-Piece 1000 Series but there was a burning rubber smell initally which has gone now but if I leave it running for the full minute so that it stops automatically, it gets so warm that steam comes out when I open the lid!!! It's not pleasant drinking a warm smoothie. Secondly, why oh why don't you explain in the booklet which of the plastic tabs which are NOT all the same must line up with which slot in the base? I'm sure its been designed this way for a reason? Disappointed with this one. Am taking it back. :-(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, But needs a 2nd blade. I love my nutribullet pro. When I bought it I thought that I could do smoothies and coffee beans, but when I read the instructions they say you shouldn't do dry things like coffee beans, despite the guide actually giving me instruction on how to grind beans (how's that for confusing). Since I bought it to do both and they claim that it will wear down the blade faster, I went online and bought a 2nd blade and a small container that I will use exclusively for dry things like coffee beans or spices. It showed up within a week, and before I even used the new blade the bottom gear that attaches to the unit fell off. Very odd, but it screwed back on OK. Anyway, it ground my coffee beans perfectly and easily. So, if you are like me and are trying to consolidate devices on your counter, it works fine... just get a second blade or use the one that comes with it and replace it sooner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short lifespan I bought my nutribullet almost a year ago, and it seems to have lasted longer than many I am reading about. But like these reviews, mine too started leaking. So I started using the bigger cup, thinking I was simply overfilling the small one. I thought the problem was solved, but now the blades are almost impossible to engage. When I am able to get it going, the unit doesn't want to turn off. I have to unplug it. I will attempt to contact customer service, but I do not have time to play tag with them. I simply will not buy another one. Nor will I recommend this to anyone. Very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brand new and problems Bought it a month ago and problems - the little plastic "bumpers" at the bottom of the bottom part came loose and had to re-insert them which shouldn't be necessary - plus the seal between the "cup" and "blade" is kind of loose and you need to be careful to make sure you give it an extra twist. Works fine but these little problems should not happen. This is our fourth device - they only last about a year.
