Rated 3 out of 5 by from Miss the Monroe of years ago..... I used to LOVE these jeans, but at some point, Lee changed the makeup and I find these jeans to be very heavy & hard material even after numerous washings. I did notice some of mine were made in China and some in Mexico....the company needs more consistency in finding and keeping the softer fabric! The old Monroe felt a like a soft brush blend and with each washings felt super great on your legs. I still love the stretch in the material, great to conform to different days you eat/weigh more or less. I also have been asking for more color choices than light blue, dark blue(Horizon) and Black. What about a Grey, Khaki and White for those of us that travel a lot to warmer climates year round? I have never been able to order even the dark chocolate, bc it is always out of stock. What does that tell you Marketing? We need more color choices, especially for us older women and those who travel year round. My friends would also love these Monroes in Capri too! Again for us year round travellers!!!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had to re-order for a smaller size I have worn Lee jeans in Size 8 for many years. My old jeans still fit great, but when I ordered these in a size 8 they were way too big. I could take them off without even unbuttoning or unzipping them. I exchanged for a size 6 and the fit is okay. These jeans are much stretchier than I expected, and I would have preferred normal denim. The "Horizon" color looks like black on my monitor, but is really a nice dark blue. Size 6 or 8 in Long length, in an at-the-waist style, is really hard to find and I am very appreciative that Lee offers this option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are the only jeans that fit me Seriously. I have a hard time finding proper jeans in 10L. I've never had an issue with the smell mentioned by some of the reviewers. I agree there is a difference in the materials - my black pair still resists any effort to grunge them up (better living through chemistry - LOL), and the pearl pair is kind of soft and pants-hitching loose. The Seattle material is perfect - they still hold their shape, the legs are long enough, roomy in the backside, and the waistband isn't up around my ribs. Thanks Lee for also making them straight leg. Bootcut is way too close to bellbottoms, IMHO.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from happy then disappointed Finding a good fit in jeans is challenging. Last year when I discovered the classic fit monroe straight leg jean (size 16S) I was thrilled. I have two pair that are my absolute favorite jeans. Many washings, still just fine. I wanted to buy more this year and was quite disappointed to discover that I cannot duplicate my two favorite pairs. The "new" ones are not the same. The fit is different, noticeably larger. The material is also different, noticeably thinner. I don't understand why a company like Lee would cheapen and change their product this way.
