Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not like switch, motor shut off while on task I'm not sure if I received a "lemon" or if the mixer performed below my expectations. I found the buttons awkward to use. Would prefer the old style that I could click with one hand. I used it right out of the box to cream softened butter and sugar. The mixer ran for a minute and then shut down (it restarted again but did not want to do the task). I expected much better for a mixer in this price range. I purchased this as a replacement for a Kitchen Aid mixer that I have had for over ten years, it has worked great and is just now starting to sound a little draggy. I am disappointed. (Returned product to Kohls with no problems.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never thought I would get so passionate about a hand mixer I have hand this unit for about a month, so not a lot of use on it yet. But, so far, I give this an A+. My favorite design of the mixer would be the swivel cord where it attaches to the rear of the mixer. It doesn't sway a lot, but enough to make a big difference while using it. Next would be the buttons used for adjusting the speed settings. Its not possible to go from stop to full blast accidentally like I could on my old mixer. Old mixer had a single switch that slid over and I was always missing my intended setting. For the attachments to go under the mixer, one hole has slots and the other doesn't. They do this sao you put the attachment in its correct hole. I really like that feature as well. The unit is light weight, but it doesn't feel cheap while holding it. It has a solid feel to it. I havn't used the dough hooks yet, so I cannot comment on how it holds up with thick batters. I have no doubt you will not be disappointed after you purchase this unit. Its a lot for a hand mixer; but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for when it comes to kitchen utensils. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kitchen Aid, Step up and fix the Problem Love the Hand Mixer, but given the numerous reviews that the beaters break, Kitchen Aid should step up and replace these beaters for free given their Name Brand. Obviously the breakage is not a rarity, either Kitchen Aid should repair the defect which they are on notice of, or step up and make the replacements free! Why is the consumer forced to pay the almost $19 with shipping for a defect Kitchen Aid is well aware of?
