Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Hand Mixer I bought this hand mixer as a temporary mixer since my large Kitchenaid stand mixer is packed for moving. I just mixed a batch of cookie dough, and it worked quite well especially since the dough was quite stiff. I only had it up to speed 4 and could have gone even higher. It didn't even sound like the motor was working very hard. The beaters are small like all hand mixers, but it did a very good job of thoroughly mixing. I have been pleased so far with how well it mixes with such little effort. The quality is very good as you would expect from Kitchenaid. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is fun.. My wife was mixing up cookie dough and our old (very) mixer gave up the ghost. I ordered this mixer because I was afraid I may never get cookies or cakes again if I didn't. The mixer arrived about a month ago and sat on the kitchen counter still in the box. I kept looking at it but it never moved, finally I couldn't stand it anymore and got a cake mix out the pantry and decided to make a cake. Having never made a cake before I was somewhat concerned, but it was so easy and was actually kinda fun. Now that I'm no longer a cake virgin I may try it again. Plus I was the only one licking the beaters!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful and quiet I bought this to replace a broken Black and Decker hand mixer and couldn't be happier. My wife thought KitchenAid would be too expensive, but found this model to be well worth the modest price point of about $70. It is powerful enough on level 1 that I now use the mixer to blend chunky ingredients like chocolate chips, oatmeal and raisins into my cookie dough instead of by hand with a wooden spoon. Lastly, it is quiet enough for me to make cookies 20 feet away from where my wife is watching TV and her not complain that she can't hear the show. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad beaters I just used this to make chocolate chip cookies since my big kitchen aid is packed since we are moving. Why would you make one of the beaters in two pieces? It kept falling apart as I was trying to mix chocolate chip cookies. The beater blades are too thin. It seemed to struggle with the dough, not enough power. My old Hamilton Beach (that I gave away) worked better than this. Returning this, bad product Kitchen Aid, I am shocked, as I am an avid Kitchen Aid lover. Now I am questioning your products.
