Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult Formula, Great Color Ballet Slippers was one of the first Essie polishes I ever bought, and I bought it because of the amazing reviews I had seen for it. To be completely honest, the formula is VERY difficult to work with. It's a lovely sheer color, but you have to put 3 coats to make the streakiness not visible, and by that point, it is opaque. That being said, once you are used to the formula, it is far easier to work with. All of this said, once it is on the nails and opaque, the color is AMAZING! I have 100+ nail polishes, and yet this is my husband's absolute favorite nail polish on me. It makes my nails look clean and chic; it is so feminine, yet professional.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really lumpy. I saw this collection release and once it was available here in Canada, I had to have this [as well as "melody maker"]. The green melody maker was FANTASTIC, but for some reason my "all access pass" didn't give me the same results. It was the complete opposite and I think I got a bad bottle/batch. It was very bubbly (like air bubbles produced) and lumpy. This was after the first coat as well, so I don't understand why the formula acted this way.I'm afraid I wasted money on this bottle and of course I can't return it. I am a loyal essie user, but I am disappointed this happened to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creamy, Vibrant, and Cheerful This is the first Essie polish I have ever bought. I was unsure how good Essie polish would look on me. Well, I love it. I love this color as it is cheerful and playful without being too childish. It went on creamy and evenly which many polishes (even expensive ones) don't always. I didn't actually need to use two coats but I did and the color was not changed by the second coat. I love Playdate and I love Essie. You have turned me into an Essie polish only girl. Thanks for that!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointing product! I just painted my nails an hour ago with this nail polish and my nails are already chipped! It doesn't stay on your nails AT ALL! I am so disappointed because Essie nail polishes aren't exactly cheap, but I prefer the black nail polish from the Colorama line from Maybelline New York any time! Just something to think about. I'm actually quite amazed that some people like this nail polish because it's really rubbish.
