Rated 3 out of 5 by from Difficult Formula, Great Color Ballet Slippers was one of the first Essie polishes I ever bought, and I bought it because of the amazing reviews I had seen for it. To be completely honest, the formula is VERY difficult to work with. It's a lovely sheer color, but you have to put 3 coats to make the streakiness not visible, and by that point, it is opaque. That being said, once you are used to the formula, it is far easier to work with. All of this said, once it is on the nails and opaque, the color is AMAZING! I have 100+ nail polishes, and yet this is my husband's absolute favorite nail polish on me. It makes my nails look clean and chic; it is so feminine, yet professional.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really lumpy. I saw this collection release and once it was available here in Canada, I had to have this [as well as "melody maker"]. The green melody maker was FANTASTIC, but for some reason my "all access pass" didn't give me the same results. It was the complete opposite and I think I got a bad bottle/batch. It was very bubbly (like air bubbles produced) and lumpy. This was after the first coat as well, so I don't understand why the formula acted this way.I'm afraid I wasted money on this bottle and of course I can't return it. I am a loyal essie user, but I am disappointed this happened to me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Favorite Essie I saw this color sitting on a display and I was instantly drawn to it. I picked it up and tried it on the next time I decided to do my nails. This formula is a like thin (it'll the 3 coats to get opaque), but I like that it's a little thin - it seems to make it dry a little bit more shiny. Even though the formula is thin, the color isn't patchy which is something I've noticed is common with some purple polishes. I love how this color looks on me, and how nicely it wears to! I wore it for over a week and I barely had any chips, the only reason why I took it off was because the polish had grown out on my nails, so I took it off and put a fresh coat of Bahama Mama back on.
