Rated 5 out of 5 by from Innovative changes to a real WorkHorse appliance I recently had to replace my 12 cup KitchenAid food processor. The motor was still working fine but the bowl and lid needed to be replaced. Since this size is no longer made, I purchased the 7 cup processor. I was delighted to see that the leaking problem was resolved by a strong attaching cutting blade base. Hooray! One disk can be turned over for different sizes of cuts. The disk for slicing can be adjusted to change the depth of the cut! I'm delighted with the new innovations. Now, there are fewer blades to store and... no leaking fluids! Hooray! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very wonderful machine I had a large Cuisinart many years ago, and it was a wonderful machine. Years ago, I decided I didn't need a food processor, I wasn't cooking as much, etc. So I have been using a blender for my chopping needs. I decided to try a new food processor, and the KitchenAid appealed to me because of the weight (I can lift if with no problems), size, appearance and the reviews I read online. I have a KitchenAid refrigerator that I love, so I ordered the 7 Cup food processor. I have used it for chopping mainly, but also to blend, and it is just what I wanted, and the ability to lift it easily is a big plus. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than I expected I was very pleased with both the price and the quality of this food processor. I was surprised how sturdy and well made it was. It was heavy enough to stay put, but not so heavy you couldn't move it fairly easily when needed. The feed tube was wide enough to actually use and the parts fit well together. The shredder and slicer worked well without wobbling. The base processing blade locks into place so it doesn't fall out if you pour out ingredients without removing it, a wonderful safety feature not present on many other brand appliances. It's the perfect size! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brand expectation low fulfillment I have several other small appliances that are kitchenaid and this purchase was to replace an older kitchenaid food processor. Previous lasted over 20 years and so after researching reviews on different food processors I decided I would continue to buy kitchenaid because of brand trust. The bowl is quite large and the features are simple but just what I needed. The pet peeve is that food that is firm ( ex: carrots, Parmesan cheese, chestnuts, etc...) needs to be cut in small chunks otherwise food gets stuck in the blade and needs to be removed manually before you continue and this may happen several times just to chop one bowl of food, and you can't walk away, it needs to be monitored because when it happens the appliance shakes and moves on your counter. I find that counter active to food processing, it wastes a lot of my time, it needs to be watched and controlled manually when that happens. Also the plastic part of the blade is stained after I used curry and have not been able to remove that stain. I could live with that but I thought that might be a piece of information that some consumers might be able to use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
