Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrating design flaw I bought this about 2 months ago, replacing a food processor I have owned for over 20 years, that sadly failed. Kitchen Aid has an excellent brand name, so I chose the KFP0711. For the most part this product is adequate, however shredding is completely unacceptable. I frequently make coleslaw, and use the shredding disk for the cabbage and carrots. The bowl design is such that the food gets stuck between the feed tube and the main cover, which jams up the works. It also doesn't distribute the food in the bowl evenly, which necessitates frequently stopping to clear the cover and empty the bowl. I am extremely disappointed with this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work This is an awful product. If I could give it zero stars, I would. We received this food processor as a wedding gift and were very excited to try it out. Unfortunately, it did not turn on. We read the manual several times, looking for something we missed. We figured it must be defective, so we returned it and bought another one. This one still does not turn on. We realized it's because the little notch on the bowl that is supposed to push the safety lock is not long enough to actually push the safety lock. When we push the lock ourselves with end of a knife, it will turn on. However, the bowl is designed in such a way that it is incapable of turning on. I don't know how the other people in these reviews got theirs to turn on, but we have tried with 2 and it still does not work. I am extremely disappointed, as I thought KitchenAid was supposed to be a good brand. I can't believe they would make such a horrible product that does not work. In conclusion, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond my expectations. Works great, and easy to clean I used all the disks, and blades that came with this machine. I was amazed at the performance. It also was much easier to clean then my Cuisinart 11 cup food processor. My cuisinart had the main chopping blade recalled in December of 2016, and I filed my claim then. I was informed early this month that I will not get the replacement blade until AFTER June 2017, but they cannot give any indication how much after June 2017. So, I bought the Kitchenaid to tide me over. I like the Kitchenaid better. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is easy to use with well designed accessories. When choosing a kitchen tool, I'm most concerned with ease of use. I have badly deformed hands from arthritis and they are weak, as well. I can assemble and disassemble this product with no help. Always a plus! The accessories fit easily together and work well. The processor is a pleasant design and looks good on my counter where I keep it in full sight for easy accessibility. There is one little design problem, however. When processing, small food pieces get trapped between the processing tube and the cover. This doesn't impair the functionality, but does cause a cleaning issue.
