Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's fine. I like this coffee maker because it has a metal reusable filter and a thermal carafe. Those two things are important if you want good tasting coffee. But you have a lot of options when it comes to coffee makers with those two specifications. I got this one because it was the only one Kohl's sells with those features and I had a bunch of Kohl's cash. I don't like it because of the way the lid is designed on the coffee pot. It screws on and off to open and close. So, you have to unscrew it to open it to pour (and yes, it drips) and then you have to screw it closed to put it back in the maker. It's a small thing, but it's annoying. If I'm gonna spend that much money on a coffee maker, I want it to be perfect. Also, it doesn't have a water filter, which is important for good coffee. And, yes, like another reviewer pointed out, the handle is made of plastic and feels cheep, like it's gonna break sometime soon. I'm sure you could find a better designed product elsewhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible machine I bought this machine and in 2 months later is broke on me. The back of the top of the lid cracked. I took it back in hopes that it was my fault, and got another one. The 2nd coffee maker broke in the same area, and the front handle would not close properly... so then the steam that was coming out of it ruined my cabinets. Fyi there was nothing that would caused it break the top of the lid at my house, I never took it off. Also if you did not take the lid completely off it would cause the coffee to spill

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes very good coffee The most important thing is the coffee is good, and we are very picky about our coffee. I also like the fact that you don't have to pull the machine out from under the cabinet to fill the water and the ground coffee. Negative features (some of these may not be important to everyone): it's a large machine, no problem for us since we have a lot of counter space, but be aware. The pour spout doesn't work well. I just take it off and pour, not a great thing with a brand new coffee maker. The "aroma" button is nice; I do think the coffee is even better when I use it. Here's a really picky criticism: I noticed the timer setting moves really slowly...only a problem when you're tired and ready to go to bed. Finally, the silver "handle" that you use to pull out the water tunnel and coffee basket, is plastic and looks cheap, especially compared to the stainless steel thermos. Overall, though, think it's a good value. We had our last coffee maker, a Capresso, for almost 15 years, and I sort of wish we'd just splurged for another one.
