Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed I purchased my first crockpot exactly like this several years ago. I used it at least every two weeks with no complaints until it died suddenly. I went out the next week and purchased the exact same model. When I got it out of the box the lid did not fit properly on the crock. I swapped lids and got it to work semi well few times but was unhappy enough with it that I have only used it about once a month. The past three times I have tried to use it to make a roast my carrots and potatoes would not even get cooked after being on all day. It is very disheartening to come home expecting a good supper and having to eat a frozen pizza.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for us. I've owned a lot of slow cookers. This one is perfect for our life now. I bought it after reading that the newer models get hotter, even on low. (I thought it was my imagination!) Using the programmable feature that cycles to warm helps a lot. Now I'm researching Crock Pots for a friend who nearly burned down her house because she forgot about a pot on the stove. She doesn't have much hand/arm strength so I'm concerned about the weight. If she leaves it out on the counter and uses liners (do they come in oval?) maybe this one will work. I hope that your product team will continue to consider us "old folks" when developing new features.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good slow cooker Does what it should and does it well. The downside is that the temperature settings are tied to specific cooking times. For example if you want to cook on the low setting the only options are 8 hours or 10 hours of programmable cooking times. So a recipe that calls for 4 hours on the low setting would have to be set to the 8 hour setting and then shut off at 4 hours. (see photo)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size and features! This is a great Crock Pot! I really like the size and love that the setting switches to warm automatically after the allotted time. That is an awesome feature! The size is so nice to make main dishes for a small crowd or side dishes to go with larger meals. The only thing I wish was different about this slow cooker would be that the time setting options would work on both the high and low settings instead of one or the other. Overall, though, a wonderful item to have in the kitchen! I did receive a sample of this product in order to write this review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but Mighty! The 4 qt programmable slow cooker is great for very small meals. It is quite small, but gets the job done. The device itself feels a little wobbly but that's just because it is so small. It fits nicely in my pantry or on my counter. I have used it many times and it is pretty consistent. I really like this Slow Cooker and definitely recommend it! Programmable feature is great and really gives me peace of mind in regards to cooking time. I have also use a slow cooker to make a dessert when I make it larger meal and it turned out great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Crock-Pot This is actually my 4th Crock-Pot since the 1970s. The first two were replaced when newer features were introduced, but they still worked fine. I purchased my third Crock-Pot because I wanted to downsize; as it turns out I was very disappointed in that 4-quart Crock-Pot because it boiled the food while on LOW, so I purchased this digital model (the only difference is the color; mine is black and matches other appliances). I am VERY HAPPY with this Crock-pot that has the digital control panel. I cooked a pot roast on Low and when it was done it automatically switched to Warm and kept the food ready until it was time to serve it. I love the oval shape. It is much better for cooking roasts and other items that don't fit easily into a round shape. I had considered buying another brand, but now I am very happy that I stayed with Crock-Pot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unreliable. I am a long-time Crock Pot fan. I received my first as a wedding gift 20 years ago. I used that one until last year when it finally quick working. I purchased this one because I thought it would be a better because of the ability to set the time on it. I have tried using it more than 10 times and at least 5 different times I have come home after leaving it on the "high" setting and the food was not done after 10 hours. I left a pot of beans on and continued to cook just trying to see how long it would take, and the next morning they were finally done, after 24 hours of being on the "high" setting. I never had this problem with my old original Crock Pot. With this one you never know if your dinner will be done when you get home, which to me if the purpose of using a Crock Pot!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The lid does not fit This is my second Crock Pot product. The lid for this particular model does not properly cover the stoneware. There is a large gap between the lid edge and stoneware. Perhaps this issue would explain why several reviews claim their crock pots did not cook properly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A failure Pot roast in the crockpot for 6 hours and strangely it was not done so added another 2 hours. Not even hot! Crunchy carrots, meat stuck to the bone, etc. Not like the old one which we loved for the last 8 years, until the crock cracked. Phoey!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small Size, Big Features! I received this to try and review. I have a large family and already had a large crock-pot slow cooker. I wasn't sure how I could use a small one. It turns out that I LOVE having an additional smaller crock-pot. I am able to make an additional side dish or dessert. This one is especially nice because of the automatic temperature change to keep the food warm after it's done cooking. As a busy mom, I often forget and lose track of timing and this works nicely for my family. I am so happy to add to my family of crock-pots with this new little addition! Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I have experimented with this crockpot several times. There is no difference between the "high" setting and the "low" setting. Meals in my previous crockpot were done to perfection in 4-5 hours on high. With this crock pot the meal is not even close to being cooked with two consecutive 4 hour settings on high. I've tried both high and low settings for several hours and there is no difference. Wish I had not wasted my money on this 4 quart, Digital Slow Cooker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features When I first received the Smart Pot Crock Pot I wasn't impressed by the simplicity of how it looked. It was the basic Crock Pot look I'm accustomed to seeing in most stores. I immediately took it out and began my first meal. I was extremely impressed by how much food fit in the Crock Pot. I fed my family of 5 and had left over to store. The food was cooked in the amount of time expected, the sturdiness of the lid was exceptional and it cooked my meal exceptionally well. This is a 5 star Crock Pot. I received this product to review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not get hot enough to cook food! We purchased this crock pot and have given it more than enough attempts to prove itself worthy of crock-pots! Does not even get close to cooking food even when on high for over 10hrs. At first we thought maybe it was over-filled to capacity (even though there was still a good 2-inches from liquid to the top of pot) so we filled only half-way and still, it only gets to a warm/hot stage even after 8hrs. Not sure if this is normal with this particular crock-pot but we are sorely disappointed and all excitement of cooking in a crock-pot has gone out the window.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't work It worked great the first time I used it. Then not at all. I mean, it does get warm, but I've ruined four meals now that I've cooked in four hours (on high) using previous slow cookers. None of the dishes were remotely done when I used this one. The first couple times I thought I did something wrong so the last time I triple checked the settings. Two of these dishes were made when I had company and I was so embarrassed. I also didn't like that I couldn't customize the timing. The six and eight hour settings were low only. If I needed to cook something on high for six hours, I had to set it for four then try to remember to go back and set it on high for the last two hours.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looking for a Replacement I have used Crock Pots all my marriage (having received one as a gift) 40+ years. Finally a few years back, purchased this for myself and as a wedding gift. It works great if you are not using it as a slow cooker but just as a hot serving dish. Food does not cook to done in it - I have had roasts in it for the 10 hours - hoping to come home - and have a wonderful meal. Not so. The meats are tough. I have tried several times, as thinking maybe the grade of meat I was buying but does not matter. Still not fork tender!! Giving up and using MY wedding gift again. Noticed also the lid is not a tight fit just slides around on the crock. Feel bad for the couple receiving this as a gift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker I have used the 4 qt Programmable Slow Cooker numberous times and I am very pleased with this product. The two main features of the 4qt Crock Pot Slow Cooker are that its programmable and the controls are digital. By being programmable, I am able to detrmine ahead of time the length of time I want my meal to cook and after it cooks for that period of time it switches itself to warm. This allows me a little more freedom throughout the day without the worry of overcooking my food. There are 4 differnet time settings one can choose for slow cooking. (my old crock pot only has two). The second feature that I I like about the 4qt Programmable Slow Cooker is that the controls are digital. I always know exactly the setting I am on without having to guess. The setting markings on my old crock pot wore off in less than a year and I sometimes get confused as to what setting I am using. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Upgraded from my manual to a smaller digital So far I'm a fan of the digital crock-pot, I had a manual and upgraded after my husband dropped and broke the one we had and loved for 4 years. It did give off a slight odor the first time we plugged it in that made my husband question the safety of EVER cooking in our apartment again. It cooked evenly and I like that it turns itself off after it is done with the timer but I would love for it to just set to warm as the food was then cold by the time we got home. Guess I'll just need to plan better next time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A little disappointed. I have an older version of Crock-Pot and another brand also. Both of those heat up faster than this Crock-Pot model. Also the power cord on this one is stiff, a problem I have experienced with other electrical products made in China. It is quite annoying! You can't make the cord lay where I want it because it has a mind of it's own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite kitchen appliance purchase My fiancé and I work late hours and we tried for years to deal with cooking late at night. A couple month again, I finally caved and decided to by this and let it do the cooking for me. Best decision ever! My fiancé hasn't wen disappointed since.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not fully cook food. I bought this about 2 weeks ago, went to use it for the first time last week, was excited as was an upgrade to one I bought when I got married 15 years ago. Used in two different instances as giving it a second chance, first was pork roast, 10 hrs, tough as cardboard and not cooked all the way. Gave it a second chance, left beans for 8 hours, came home hard as rocks. Can't return as threw out box and receipt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from O.K. Slow Cooker I ordered this smaller Crock Pot for smaller amounts of recipes. I currently have the larger Crock Pot, and I wanted one for single vegetable recipes. This is exactly the size I wanted; however, I found it took a lot longer to cook a pot of fresh green beans that would have cooked in half the time in the larger slow cooker. After reading several of the reviews, I now realize that this is a complaint made by several people. I will continue using it, but will remember that I must allow for a longer cook time than normal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the ability to pair with phone! I absolutely love my new crockpot. I also love that it comes with an app and can control the settings from your phone! This has got to be the easiest cooking experience ever! I found a nm bunch of prepare ahead crock pot recipes online and you literally just have to thaw and "dump" the ingredients into the crockpot and you're done. You can control everything from your phone! I love this! * I received this crockpot as a sample to review, but all opinions are my own. I actually really love this crockpot! Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good features -- but it doesn't cook right Time and again we have found that it gives new meaning to "slow." For example, pinto beans were just starting to crumble with a strong bite after 6 hours. Setting in on 4 more hours doesn't do much better. We have a very old 6 qt one that does a much better job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed Had this model for several months, tried many things. It does not get hot enough to cook food. Used high and reset twice. My 20 year old crockpot does great. I fear we'll get sick on uncooked food.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of my money I have always bought crock pot products. I had to replace an old on and replaced it with this one. The first item I made were barbecue ribs. They burned. Then I made meatballs, they boiled on warm. There is a serious defect in this crock pot. I really wish they would replace it for me. I can't afford to buy a new crock pot every 2 months!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lid doesn't fit properly I tried cooking a beef roast on low and it took twice as long as my other crock pot. The meat was so dried out we couldn't eat it. Then I tried cooking a small whole chicken on high and it took 7 hrs. and still was only 160 degrees. After examining the lid, I noticed it didn't fit and moisture and heat was escaping. Then I placed foil under the lid and it finished cooking very quickly. . The water never boiled either. Will return it tomorrow and buy another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good! This cooker was purchased as a back-up to the larger 6 1/2 qt. model that I've been using for several years. Based on usage to date, it has turned out to be an excellent choice; The smaller size has many advantages, in terms of use, handling, cleaning and storage. It's a simple, convenient appliance for preparing smaller family meals in one pot. As for the programmable device, I'm pleased and satisfied with the simplest choices between slow and high, for longer or shorter cook times. Set it and forget it works great ...so far, it's all good.
