Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good I purchased this in the hopes of getting some dirt out if the grout in our bathroom tile. We purchased our home a year ago and the bathroom leaves much to be desired. I considered having a professional steamer come out but thought I would give this a try first. I used two of the cups full of water and got enough steam to clean our bathroom. It heated quickly, was really easy to use (and assemble), it got a lot of the dirt out to the point our tiles and grout look much better and best of all no chemicals. I used it to clean the toilet and the sink as well. I never leave reviews but this was worth my time to write.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed When I received this steam cleaner, I was thrilled. My floors are 90% tile and I find that steam is the best way to clean. I used it according to directions, ie using distilled water, etc. The first thing that occurred is the protective hose detached from the handle. Now, my unit has completely stopped working. Tried cleaning it with vinegar and water according to manufacturer's instructions, nothing. I am so disappointed, I loved this machine. It seems that this is a common problem with steam cleaners, that they just quit working after a short period of time. Nothing is made to last anymore. And KOHL"S, why do you request my body time, height and weight when publishing a review??? Totally irrelevant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the good, but It works well enough, but not quite as powerful as I would like. Feels very "plasticy". No way to wrap the cord. But it does hold a lot of steam, best to use it in short bursts. Use distilled water, because like a coffee maker and iron it will build up hard water deposits and stop working. Best for occasional light to medium use. Don't expect magic using steam only, to get tough grease, mold, and dirt build up the steam is good at loosening up the dirt, but won't blast it away. For that you need a much more powerful steamer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth The Money, Gets The Job Done. After a great deal of research my final decision was to purchase the McCulloch steam cleaner. I am very happy with my decision. I wanted a steamer to clean just about every thing in my home. I originally wanted a steamer for my floors but during my research I realized that a good steamer could be the answer to most of my cleaning situations. I am 73 years old and unable to clean and scrub like I once could and this little machine does it all. I can clean my floors with ease also all my doors and cabinets even cleaned some soils on my walls plus used it on my mattress. I original purchased it for my housekeeper to make her work easier and to help her with the difficult cleaning. It is so easy to use that I am the only one that uses this steamer and that should tell everyone that is thinking about buying a steamer that the McCllouch eliminates hard work. This machine is very well build and gets hot enough to get the job done and eliminate germs. Connectors are mental not plastic as some machines so no chance of parts melting. A very long hose and electrical cord, attachments for multi jobs, and rolls with ease all make working with the machine very easy. I have also cleaned my cooking range and refrigerated. They shine like new. The only thing that I don't like is there is no where to put all the attachments and long hose. But I purchased a small container that I place next to the canister and that keeps everything neat. If you are thinking about buying a steamer I would suggest not waste your money on an inexpensive stick type as they do not last very long. spend the money and purchase the McCllouch a serious steamer for serious work. I live in a rural community and placed the order on Monday and it was at my door five in the afternoon on Wednesday. That is fast!! Happy with my purchase.
