My 3 Apt. 9, aqua blue rugs arrived today and I was really excited to see how thick, plush and beautiful they are. Our bathroom will be having a beige tile floor laid soon, yet; I wanted some nice rugs that will pick up the 'blue' themes of the ocean. The bathroom has real conch shells, & star fish. We have a large Amish woven laundry basket, plus different wicker baskets, one is are there for our magazines, a wall basket holds the washcloths, and I even have a bushel basket lined with a gold material, holding our rolled up towels! It sounds crazy but they look nice. So I wanted to keep the ocean, blue theme. There are different shades of blue in the shower curtain. On the one wall we have a large fish tapestry in the blue shades. These rugs really are nice and compliment the theme. Even after we tile the floor, it will be a beautiful accent to see the bright aqua blue rugs on the floor. We placed two large ones end to end in front of the sink and toilet, then a smaller rug in front of our bathtub. It was a perfect fit. Also we added a toilet lid cover in a darker blue hue.

When I first got this rug, I was so pleased as it was for a powder room that just needed a black rug. Black is hard to find and this seemed very plush and a good black color. After washing it, there is now black fuzz all over the bath room, out into the hallway and as far as my living room. I think the fuzz looks like it's from a cheap sweater and it is everywhere. I've tried washing it again in the hopes that it was just loose fibers but now it is shedding even worse. This is going back just as soon as I can find a different one to take it's place.

I loved this rug when we first got it! Then, I made the mistake of washing it. The rug itself held up ok in the wash, but it shed TONS of these tiny little fibers that then got into everything else that went into my washing machine! The fibers are so wispy that they weave themselves into other fabrics, so now nearly every item of clothing in my home that I washed after the rug is coated with them. Our towels are the worst, as they were washed immediately after the rug; so in using the towels now we're just rubbing ourselves down with lint that rolls off the towels in balls and easily gets into eyes if the towel is used for the face. The fibers don't come off in the dryer, either, so my only choice is to lint brush and physically pick the fibers off of all our clothes. What a nightmare!! Avoid this rug at all costs.

These are the best rugs ever. My son is in a wheelchair and these rugs stay in place which has been a problem with other rugs. They are so soft. And the towels last for years with constant washing.
