Rated 2 out of 5 by Hi I purchase some of the curtains at the store and some on line. After I iron and hung them I noticed some lines in the material. I may need to steam them again but they are not true black out curtains since you can see through them to the lines. Also where I cut and resewed several panels together there was a thread pull that looks to have caused a permanent line. These curtains are much thinner than what I would expect Black out curtains to be. Maybe the manufacturer could include instructions on how to get them hanging ready. 11/16/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Well made, with expensive-looking fabric. Would've given this a 5 star rating but the embroidery on the drape will snag and pull at any opportunity. However, if the drape is hung at a "quiet" window, all will be well, but if conditions are breezy, or people, children or pets will be brushing up against the drape, it'll tend to age fast. Otherwise, it truly is a beautiful drape, with ample hems. It is self backed (i.e., no backing), so if you want 100% blackout or the curtain to be white from the street side, purchase a couple white sheets and line the panels. 06/02/2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Had been looking for burgundy draperies to cover my bow window on winter nights to help insulate. Had bought a complete set elsewhere, but when I saw these, I returned those and purchased these. I love the design that is woven into the fabric, the color was perfect and the fabric has a nice sheen to it. They are so much nicer than any I've seen anywhere else. I would have given five stars but for the following: Drawback one--there are no valances available, so I had to purchase extra drapes to make my own. Drawback two--the woven design pulls easily. If I had just hung them without cutting and sewing, pulling probably would not be a problem. I found it difficult to iron out the packing creases. Big plus--they are washable. I also like the fact that they are the same color back and front. 10/31/2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by They are beautiful. I was not impressed with the curtains after seeing them on line. However, after reading all the reviews I gave them a try. I am glad I did because the reviews were right they are beautiful! I purchased them in the Ivory for a very large window. Although I did buy a beautiful curtain rod the curtains needed a valance between the panels. So I purchased another panel & made one myself. Worked out perfectly. I like the slight shimmer on the curtains when the light hits them. 11/03/2011
