Rated 4 out of 5 by Broken Upon Receipt - Kohl's Exchanged Graciously Received a Yonanna as a Chistmas gift and it was broken when we opened the box. Kohl's was very helpful in exchanging it for a replacement even though we had no gift receipt. We did have a packing slip showing it came from Kohl's. The second one works fine and we have enjoyed two batches of healthy, tasty Yonanna so far. It is not difficult to clean as some reviewers have stated. I do feel like it is overpriced. We received it as a gift however I probably would not buy one. Perhaps after the novelty wears off and holidays are over, the price will come down. I'd like more recipe ideas :) 01/26/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Go Bananas for Yananas!!! I made a HUGE mistake when I ordered Yonanas. I did not realize I should have frozen some bananas and fruit BEFORE I ordered instead of receiving it and then having to wait for another 24 hours. Yonanas takes eating fruit to a much higher level. Finally something even children will love and yet it's totally healthy! Instructions are very easy to follow (what's so hard about freezing your fruit (cut bananas in half first), putting them down the chute, then viola! Even your children can assist on this one which will delight them all! I highly recommend Yonanas. We're having a get together this weekend and I've been freezing all sorts of fruits so our guests can all enjoy a Yonanas. Makes for a great gift too! 06/27/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what it says it will This device grinds frozen fruit into a creamy pulp. It is essesntially a smoothie but without the liquid--you eat it with a spoon, not a straw. Works best if you slightly thaw the frozen fruit in a microwave first. The directions say to use ripe spotted bananas, but if you don't like to eat them ripe, you won't like them frozen and ground up ripe either. I prefer yellow/green bananas and found that they work just as well. It's the bananas that give the end result a creamy consistency. I buy bags of frozen fruit mixes at the grocery store so there's no prep mess. 06/28/2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by offers healthier alternative to ice cream We bought several of these--one for ourselves and others for gifts. The kids had a great time helping us make "ice cream" that didn't have any added sugar (unless you add chocolate, etc). We froze bananas, strawberries, blueberries, pineapples, and blackberries. Very good in any combination. Overall, the result of this machine is similar to making smoothies. However, to maintain soft-serve ice cream consistency it more "shaves" the frozen fruit and so doesn't blend them all together as one. There are streaks of berries and whatever you put into it. Tasty and fun, nonetheless. Directions say not to add yogurt or straight ice, but I am going to experiment with frozen yogurt, I think. It is easy to clean the machine after use. 12/05/2012
