My 9 y.o. is taller and bigger than average kids, plus he has a "pot-belly". Well-fitting, uniform-kind of pants are extremely hard to find. These pants fit great, although I had to stitch the pockets close so they don't stick out. I am buying 12-husky, and the length is 1.5-2 inches too long for 9-year old, but the rest of the pants (waist, crotch, etc.) fit great. If only knees were reinforced a bit. My son destroyed 3 out of 6 pairs I bough him in August (4 months ago): all were ripped at the knees. I buy khaki color, because navy run color and get that "used" look after a few washes.

I purchased these for my 7 year old sons school uniform. Within one month a pair had holes in both knees and the other pair is very worn looking in the knees and close to tearing. This is my first year (out of 3) buying Chaps for uniforms, in comparison other brands lasted longer. The fit is very nice and the price super reasonable, hopefully they will start to make them a little stronger to withstand small boys activity and ruggedness.

These pants fit my slim son excellently and wear really well. He slides on his knees a lot, so I usually replace about every 3 months, but than I just cut off the legs And make them into shorts. I sell uniforms at school, and I recommend them to lots of parents.
The best fitting slims we've found, and we've had many brands such as dockers and lands end. They were all too big.

I bought several of these pants for my two grandsons who are now 13 and 11. They are perfect for dressier look with a collared polo shirt and belt. They wear them often for band performances, school events, and special family events. I have bought several now - as they grow - but the older pants still look as good as the new. I can easily donate the outgrown sizes and feel confident the pants are still in great shape for others to use.
