char-broil electric smoker I like the ease of use compared to charcoal easy clean up at end of each use everything shelves drip pan smoke pan shelve holders that go inside to hold shelves in place pull out clean up and put in dishwasher only problem I may not like is the flat bottom of smoker for the drips etc it sticks and looks rusty after a few uses I believe the four sides on the bottom should be angeled and non stick so everything slides to the middle and drops in the bucket as far as temp control very easy holds temps great as far as the magnetic door you have to move and adjust and make sure both surfaces stay clean while cooking and you should be ok

The door don't stay closed. I'll have to make my own door latch. The wood chips won't smoke unless the wood chip box is placed directly on the element or unless it is turned to a high heat. I smoke lots of salmon and I wouldn't recommend this. I'll modify it and it will be okay but it cost way, way too much to need work once you get it. All the parts are of good quality though. Big Chief is cheaper and works better for smoking fish, but if you are doing chicken, beef, or something like that it would be okay; just hope the magnets on the door will keep it shut. I've had to place a chair in front of it for the time being.

I use it at least once a week. However the wood tray don't work for nothing. I had to fabricate a different way to burn the wood. You also have to use only High setting if you set it any lower the wood wont burn (smoke). fortunately high setting only heats up to 225 to 250 anyway. It needs air vent. you have to shim the door open a little to get the wood to smoke properly. I would definitely redesign the smoker.

This is an amazing product. Your meats come out so moist and tender that you keep trying different kinds just to see how amazing the next meat or vegetables are going to taste. There is just one problem with the smoker the door needs to be sturdier, we fixed it by putting a window latch on the door so it wouldn't open while you were cooking. They sent me another door but that one had the same problem.
