Rated 5 out of 5Â by Lidian Beautiful late-fall coat!
After reading several reviews, I decided to take a chance and buy this coat. I am 5'3'' and slender so I decided to go with a small. Although I cannot say either way how long the buttons will last before falling off, I'm not taking any chances and losing one. That would totally be my luck. I'm going to reinforce them with some extra thread. The color (purple) is gorgeous, the weight of the material is just right, and the princess seams are an excellent touch. My only complaint is that it is a little bigger than I am, but then again, I suppose more layers would fit underneath on an especially chilly day.

I love the way this coat fits and feels. The only thing I didn't like is that it doesn't have the adjustments on the sides or the sleeves like it shows in the picture.

This coat is very warm and stylish, but within 2 weeks of wearing it all but two of the front buttons popped off. The buttons are very loose and there is not a lot of thread holding them on, so they catch on things and with too much strain they pop off. Since it was an online only item, I did not want to wait to return it and order another coat. I have since sewn the buttons back on with stronger thread, including the buttons that haven't fallen off yet, as I'm sure it's just a matter of time until they did. Other that the button issue, the coat is very nice.

I am 5' 10" tall and wear a size 12. Shirts/sweaters/coats are almost always a size large because I am uh, well endowed, but in tshirts and such I can also wear a medium. I had a similar wool peacoat that was also a size large and it was roomy.
This coat? I can get it on, but once on, cannot move my arms beyond a few inches. I could button it if I needed to, but then wouldn't be able to move at all. I'm not sure who sized this as a "large" but it's barely a medium. Total waste of money. A button popped off the second time I wore it, too; clearly not well made.
