Rated 1 out of 5 by Definitely Not Heavy Duty This was a replacement to my older Kitchenaid food processor that worked flawlessly. My husband purchased the Architect series along with two matching appliances from Kitchenaid. As others have seen, I stripped the metal blade (within the first 6 mos) when making pie dough. I made pie dough countless times with the older model. I replaced the blade on my own and now the drive adapter has stripped and will not come off the machine. It stripped and melted or otherwise stuck to the motor's shaft and upon pulling it off using pliers, the shaft broke. This occurred when I was shredding monterey jack cheese - a simple task for this machine. It's 2 years old and this is the 2nd time it broke. 12/26/2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Replacing an old processor I owned a Braun Processor for years but the bowl interlock tabs broke off over the years and it finally was unusable. i searched for a larger, more versatile model and settled on the Kitchen Aid 13 Cup System. I have used all the attachments and despite having to carefully think how they all get attached found the usage very handy. I am getting used to the sheer size of the unit as it definitely larger than my previous unit . The main bowl has handled all the jobs I have thrown at it and the smaller sauce bowl is a decided plus . My 4 star rating is down from 5 because the unit is so large. Still overall (so far) I'm glad I made the purchase . 07/21/2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by just one thing I received my food processor in time for Christmas Eve and Christmas day parties. I now wonder how I ever got along without it. The only flaw I found seems to be in the design of the small bowl. If you put dry ingredients like herbs, flour or sugar without something wet to hold it down it flies up into the edge of the bowl and that causes the whole thing to lift and stops the machine. Otherwise the unit is awesome 01/06/2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by You are the best I love KitchenAid and would recommend all of your products to anyone. This is my second Food Processor, the first one lasted about 15 years, I passed it on to my daughter, who loves it. For anyone who has not visited your store in Greenville Ohio, I suggest you take the trip. It is well worth it. Your sales personnel are wonderful and very knowledgeable. I have a two wonderful mixers from Kitchen Aid. There again, they are about 15 years old too. Sometimes I wish they would break so I could buy another one. The new ones you have are so beautiful, however, my old ones are too. They may even out last me! I am a very satisfied customer. Cheryl 11/23/2013
