Purchased this in ivory (which looks a little yellow IMO, maybe due to room color). Bought the 17x24 which is a good size for my tiny bathroom. (fits in front of the sink cabinet). it is soft but rather thin. have not washed yet. has that rubber smell to it that invites pets to use...will keep the bathroom door shut. :-) :-)

I ordered the light sage but it was not really sage. A little more mint color than sage. It was also really shiny which I did not care for. I also got the lid cover and it wasn't very dense and the backing showed through. I returned both items.

No matter how I shake the rug when I lay it down it has more of a variegated look than a solid color. Some of the rug looks darker than other sections. Don't know if this is just the way the mat lays, or what. I will be returning this.

I had to replace a better quality bathroom rug in a hurry. My old, thick and thirsty rug fell apart after 7 years of use. I'm getting ready to have hip replacement surgery, so need to have something on the floor to prevent slips. After much searching online, I decided on this rug because it's the right size and comments indicated that it has a non-slip base. It does indeed have a non-slip latex base. However, the rug is very thin. It doesn't absorb water -- I have to blot it with my towel after I've dried myself off. Otherwise the water just pools and it does not dry quickly. It is made of man-made fiber (I knew that from the description, but natural fibers don't have non-slip material on base of rug). The fiber is soft to the touch but it is not cushiony. It will do for now -- after I'm steady on my feet it will be replaced pronto.
