Rated 1 out of 5 by Leaks! Leaks! Leaks! Waste of Money!! Bought this coffee maker in May 2014 (5 months ago). The pour spout leaks like crazy! It has started leaking last week. It continues to leak, and it keeps getting worse. Don't leave the room while it's brewing, unless you want to return to a counter and floor covered in coffee. I have to keep a cup under the spout to catch leaks while it's brewing. You cannot leave one drop of coffee in the pot. After it's brewed, the pot must be immediately emptied, or the remaining coffee will leak out. So long as there is coffee in the machine, it will leak! I contacted Cuisenart, and they were NO help at all. Basically, don't buy this piece of junk!! 10/29/2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by No carafe! I bought it because there's no carafe for me to break. We use the sprayer from our sink to fill the reservoir, so no issue there. I didn't want to get stuck with having to buy the coffee pods - plus we like regular, old fashioned coffee the best. One downside is the limitation on the height of a cup that fits under the dispenser. A travel mug doesn't slip under it. However, cups only slightly shorter (1/2") than a travel mug DO fit. I thought all coffeemakers burbled at the end- that's what tells me it's done! So the tiny beep seems duplicative. I love the streamline look on my new counters. 11/17/2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Looks great but lots of annoying problems Looks great on the counter but I too experienced several problems. I purchased this coffee maker because it didn't have a pot and had a sleak look. The first thing wrong was it was very hard to push the buttons to program the time and the auto setup time. Next was the gauge didn't work. It was ok for me but my husband always thought we had more coffee so he wouldn't set it up the night before. (I NEED my morning coffee ready). Next was the warping but seemed to straighten out when cooled off. My large travel mug didn't fit but I didn't care I used a measuring cup. Now my cleaning light stays on even after I just cleaned it. Next was if you take the tray out of the bottom for your cup water leaks all over. I expected better for a Cuisinart product. Will not buy again - should have returned when I noticed the guage didn't work and the cup didn't fit. 09/24/2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Fatal Flaw - It leaks I loved this product while it worked. It brewed the coffee well, the pouring mechanism works well, and the conveniences of the product are all there. However, the decanter that holds the brewed coffee has a flaw that makes it extremely frustrating: over time, it leaks. After going through 2 decanters, I figured out that the problem is that the gasket on the spout eventually wears out caused by cleaning the decanter with vinegar and water. Mind you, I only cleaned the unit once a month, but after 6 washings with 1 (one) tablespoon of vinegar and water, it fell apart. By now, you are saying, "Don't do that". OK. Great. How do I clean the lines in the coffee maker? Why does vinegar harm this product? It could be such a great product. 09/24/2013
