So far so good with this toaster oven. There are things I like and things i don't like, but the good outweighs the bad. I like that it's deep so I can cook more at one time. This is especially helpful when 2 or 3 kids want to cook something at the same time. I don't like that there's no timer. My old one had a timer and the kids used it to cook their own food. Now they have to watch a clock, which is unreliable. What I really don't like is the knobs, it's hard to tell what setting you've selected. It's fine for me, I don't like it for the kids. They are just getting self-sufficient and are cooking on their own (yeah!), this makes it harder for them.

I recently replaced my older toaster oven with this Cuisinart product and am happy with my choice. A little more cost but definitely worth it! I used it both as a toaster and an oven set at 425 degrees and it did the job like my regular oven. I would only caution you to be careful since it gets very hot. Give it space and keep paper away. I moved it to the end of my counter and found this to be a good place since it has the rest of my kitchen to help it cool down.
Yes - definitely buy it.

Our old toaster oven (only 4 years old, Black & Decker) had the upper heating elements stop working, so we replaced it with this Cuisinart. The controls on the Cuisinart are much more straightforward and we like the toast settings of light/medium/dark rather than the timer feature of the old one. This one does emit a rather loud beeping when the toast is done (first time, it made the cat run away!) which cannot be adjusted, but we will get used to that. That's why I gave it 4 stars. It seems to toast evenly.
We bought this online at Kohl's to pick up in the store. We noticed the box appeared as though it might've already been opened, but we inspected the toaster oven in the car before taking it home. It looked fine, so we took it home. Well, the feet on that toaster weren't level - it took a penny and a nickel under one foot to level it! Took it back and we took the new one out of the box before leaving the Customer Service counter, and it was perfectly level. The first one had a special kind of tape on the box, which we had thought meant "paid for" so we could take it out the door. Nope....it meant it had been returned before!

I bought this oven to replace an oven in which the toast feature had failed. This Cuisinart oven does a pretty good job of toasting bread although the bread slices at the front of the oven seem to toast faster and are darker than the ones at the middle and back of the oven. Not sure why. Other than that the oven does what it was designed to do. It is a small oven and therefore light weight, but I think this is an intentional design feature. Overall, the oven is exactly what I wanted-small with bake, broil, and toast settings, not too complicated to operate and no digital circuit boards to overheat and fail.
