This is my third Cuisinart and will be my last. Drips water from the bottom once coffee is made and filter removed. Top lid is not very tight. Filter cannot hold enough for 16 cups...grinds overflow into every crevice. Coffee residue on bottom of cup (never occurred in any of my other pots). Fortunately I still had the lid from my old coffee pot because the new one did not fit tightly Since the reviews of other brands are just as bad I guess I'll have to keep this one. All in all, very sad for this usually reputable brand.

I was so excited to get this nice big coffee pot as my husband drinks the better part of a 12 c and leaves me with 1 and a half cups. Well I tried to figure out how much coffee I needed to make 14 c. The basket to hold the grounds is not big enough for this pot. I then tried to buy extra robust coffee and even beans to strengthen the brew. To make a good cup you have to fill the basket to the brim and then deal with the sludge in the bottom of the pot. Looks good, brews fast, can't make 14 good cups of coffee:(

Seems between the two of us a 14 cup pot is just enough to see us through the morning. It makes wonderful tasting coffee if you use the right brand of coffee and brews it fast and hot. Just the way I like it. Less the 15 mins. and I have fresh coffee. This one even lets you choose the time it stays on, up to 4 hours. It beeps for you to let you know it is finished brewing and also when it turns off. I got 2 cause I don't ever want to be without my morning cup of heaven!

The only draw back with this coffee maker is there is no light on the clock. I actually took it back to the store after one of the customer service personnel told me it should have a light. That is not the case as the store clerk at Kohl's took the time to check out two of the coffee makers in stock, and neither one had a light in the clock. Some people wouldn't consider this a problem, but I think it was put together without a light to save on cost.
