Rated 5 out of 5Â by Charly333 New Color?
The only thing I was surprised with is the color which is a dark grey. Nowhere does it say in the listing that it is grey and was black (years ago) and looks black in the picture. This is a replacement for the same exact toaster we have had for years. My husband thought it was taking longer to toast so we bought this one. As far as the cord being in the front, I agree that is strange, we just put it under the toaster so it would come out the back. There is plenty of space to do this. Even with the two changes I have already noticed that it does toast faster. I guess the old one just lost some power. I love Cuisinart products and have several of them. Never had any big problems.

We haven't had the toaster very long, and have only used it a few times, so I went with good, since we have not tried all the features (ie: defrost and reheat). I like the 4 slots to toast items at the same time. Heat settings work well for toast. Bagel setting gives a nice crisp to the bagel, but not too crunchy. We've even used the numbered heat settings instead of the the bagel setting since one of us prefers light bagels. Toaster is stylish and has a good feel to it.

Love it, great toaster. I had a Cuisinart before and it lasted so long wanted to replace it when it finally broke. The style is so nice.
Rated 2 out of 5Â by 2many Cuisinart 4-slice toaster
I own other Cuisinart appliances and thought their toaster would stand up to the brand name Cuisinart. Sadly, it doesn't. It is awkward to have the plug in the front of the toaster. It does not toast evenly, and it's recommended that filled pastries (aka "Pop Tarts) not be toasted in it. What?!? I recommend not buying a toaster made by Cuisinart. I know I won't be ever buying a toaster by them again.
