When shopping for pans we looked at several different features. We like this one because it had the rubber handles. WELL, when receiving the package, and opening it, IT DID NOT. This picture shown is an OLDER style. The new style has measuring guides inside the pans, which is really neat, and a pour feature on the pans, and lids. The handles have stayed cool while cooking, we cook with an electric smooth top. I have washed these by hand so far, and have not washed them in the dishwasher, so they have not yet discolored. That may change. :)

Used one pot and both skillets. All of the products had unremovable stains and discoloration after one use. The pot was used to simply boil water for pasta. This outcome is unacceptable for the price paid for the product. The outcome appears to have been due to a manufacturing defect. Returned all of the cookware set to the retailer. I will not purchase Calphalon products again. Please don't one about this and that about stainless steel cookware. Calphalon provided and care guide. It was followed. The product failed. Enough.

The pots and pans appear to be well made. The covers are what sold me. See through tops are the way to go.
Calphalon brand has a good reputation which I do go by..

My mom has had this set for the last 10 years and it still looks brand new. I've had mine for about 2 weeks and absolutely love them! Don't be scared by not having the non-stick coating because these pans clean up very easily and don't flake off harmful chemicals into your food. It does take a little more time to care for them (do not wash in the dishwasher) but it's completely worth it. They also cook food very evenly and use less energy (no high temp).
