My 20-month old son has actually gotten pretty proficient at this puzzle - and pulls it out on his own! He has learned spatial relationship and is making connections between the picture / word with the beginning sound - or the letter name. I want at least one more to replace misplaced letters - the others to send as gifts. I love this puzzle and as a current 3rd grade teacher, am excited about the head start that my son is getting on letter recognition and reading.

I love that this puzzle is helping my girl learn her alphabet. When I first opened it though it had wood coming off the surface. Little chips here and there. Watch out if there are younger kids around who would eat wood chips. One other thing I didn't like is the picture for the big W. I can't figure out what it is in relation to W. Maybe my vocabulary is lacking, but if I can't figure it out, I am pretty sure my kid can't. It should be more obvious.

Love this puzzle. Its nice to have the upper and lower case letters and pictures to go along with it. However, some of the pictures are just strange so I will be inserting some of my own. Other than that we love it.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Jazmyn Great puzzle for my 4-yr-old daughter
I love that the shapes are good solid wood pieces - easy to play with over and over. The only thing I'd change is to have the pieces magnetic. Once the puzzle is unwrapped, the pieces fall out, so you need a container of some sort to keep the pieces together.
