This is way more awesome for homemade pizza than a pizza stone - you get the crisping factor of a stone that only improves with the seasoning patina over time, but it also has the dimension of having the side lip so that your sauce and toppings don't ooze over the side! Also, there are handles so that you could just bring the whole pizza to the table and set onto a heavy duty trivet if you wanted to. Plus, you can set this right on the grill for grilled pizza and bring the entire project to your outdoor kitchen table! This is the better solution to making great homemade pizza!

I purchased this pan online. It was delivered with the box partially opened.
On opening the box the pan looks like it has been used as there are marks on the pan.
Unfortunately I have to return it to the store. Might order another one - hopefully the new one turns out good.

I have used this cast iron pan over my stove top gas burner for quickly cooking tortillas. I have been very pleased with its performance. Easy clean up with hot water. It is so large, I have to remove a burner control knob so it doesn't melt it. My tip would be to be sure to measure before purchase, to make sure the 14 inches is not too large for your stove top. I am a pizza baker, too. I have not used it yet for pizza, but I will. I will try it on my gas grill this summer when it is too hot to bake inside the house. I can see this is a useful addition to my kitchen tools. I am very happy to have it, and happy with the price.

Baked a giant peanut butter chocolate chip cookie in this (a skookie) and it was absolutely fantastic. The iron distributes heat really well, ensuring wonderful results with baking.
Used it for pizza earlier tonight, which also turned out very well.
As you would expect, the pan is sturdy and should last a lifetime. It comes seasoned, but I seasoned mine (rubbed with cooking oil and baked for 15-20 minutes at 350) once before using just to be sure it was sealed.
So far, so good! Looking forward to other baked goods and for using it on a camping trip this summer. Would definitely recommend!
